The sun isn't big enough to go nova, much less supernova. And that only happens at the end of a star's \"life\"; at best estimate, we've got a few more billion years before we have to worry about that.
As for morality, I think it's far more likely that our morals, inasmuch as they do resemble the commandments (in other words, minus the first three), predate them and influenced the commandments rather than the other way around.
