You don't have to be a creationist to do that. You just have to be willing to trust in the judgements of man... I know of no creationist involved in either the burning or drowning of witches. Ironically, both the Catholic Church and and the Puritans did and both these groups today imbrace evolution to one degree or another. Creationists tend to be evangelical.
