Disrespect of women rose in 1929? So women had it great up until that time?

1929? WHy that's the year the stock market crashed! Obviously contraception worked it's way into financing and destroyed the world economy! WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?

So, what, there was no homosexuality before contraception?
Oscar Wilde says you lose. Among others.

I bet there was no prostitution before 1929 either. No herbal abortifacients. Men never knocked up a woman then abandoned her. Everything was pure and godly before then.

"therefore homosexuality from poor relations with father figures in those families."
Isn't it interesting how fundies reject the rational when it comes to anything that threatens their world view, but when it comes to supporting their prejudices they love to fall back on cod rationalisations. Except of course that the above is nothing more than a hoary old cliche. There are plenty of straight guys who had poor relationships with their fathers and plenty of gay guys (myself included) who had - and still have - good relationships with their fathers.
Try again Eucharista.

Eucharista- some of us who are bi or gay have perfectly good relationships with both of our parents. How do you explain that exactly?
Also, if what you say is true, then why (for example) would one child from a 'broken home' come out bi/homosexual but not his or her siblings? Why has there always been homosexuality, far far prior to 1929? Oh that's right, it's because you are talking out of your behind.
Sexual orientation is not something you just decide one day based on whether your daddy loved you enough. Your parents cannot do anything to "make you gay". Get this through your rock-like skull, please.

You may have a point, there... the previous year, voting rights for women in Britain were extended to be the same as for men, and we all know that after the Church accepted contraception, that was quickly repealed.
Except it wasn't, and you're spouting gibberish.

"It didn't just 'pop up' one day, it had a beginning and that was contraception."
I'm impressed. To produce that much Wrong would take me thousands of words. You did it in sixteen.

"the acceptance of CONTRACEPTION was the cause of the rise of abortion"
That makes sense how? Contraception prevents unwanted babies being concieved. Without it, there would be many MORE abortions.

People have used contraception and there was homosexuality and abandoned mothers long before 1929.
In fact, contraception was used in
ancient Egypt.
You lose.

Um, NO
Besides which, we have evidence the Egyptians MAY have used contraceptives back before the empire fell, and that they were somewhat effective.

Wait, 1929. The rise of divorce and abortion began in the seventies and, bearing in mind that in the middle there was a war............sorry, something doesn´t match.

No, just plain no.
Or not, perhaps. Contraceptions has been around for MUCH longer than just 80 years. The hunter-gatherers realized that some plants made something to stop a baby being the result of sex. Later men realized that putting animal intestines or silk paper on your cock made the woman not pregnant.
Men have been divorcing women for much longer than 80 years as well. As most women didn't have any other means of livelihood than to be married, they simply could not divorce their spouse before the 20th century rolled in. So the sacredness of marriage was considerably stronger from the woman's side than from the man's, it seems.
Homosexuality has very little to do with environment and lots to do with heredity. Father figures is not relevant in the matter. Oh, and there has ALWAYS been homosexuals in society, they did not pop up at 1929.
