Gee, homosexuality has only been taboo in every long lasting social culture in history, maybe that “resonates” for some strange reason?

The behavior is immoral. Like murder, kidnapping, rape. And yes there have been times and places where each one of those vices were legally practiced by free people. Ever hear of that word, “vice”, kinda rare in your neck of the woods I’d think — a helpful concept though — it means something that’s bad to do and yet can become a habit for some.

The ancient wisdom of making homosexuality taboo has many solid reasons. To be honest you’ve probably read or heard many or most of them,. But, grasshopper, the power of the dark side is very strong. It’s easy to find some perfectly “logical” reason why all of human history and moral code development is wrong and your chosen vice is just the thing for you.

Legalizing homosexuality is incredibly destructive to a society. It is suicide.

Legalizing homosexuality is incredibly destructive to a society. It is suicide.

In this day and age, it's indefensible to remain so ignorant of the world outside the United States. Other posters have already listed countries where gay marriage is legal. Get over your self-absorption and join the real world.

Yes. Vice is an interesting concept. It's an interesting word. Your vices have you in a vice-like grip from which you are unable to extract yourself. Your vices include intolerance and homophobia, except that for you, both of those are desirable traits and possibly biblical and political in their inspiration to you. There is no ancient wisdom of making homosexuality taboo, only a strong desire by self-loathing and inadequate authoritarian blokes with a liking for interfering in the lives of others like some overbearing nanny-stateists. Usually championed by a horrendous anti-human fundamentalist cult which has a base appeal to those of a nasty disposition by their use of a God-monster to justify their mental disorders and inhumanity.
