If that's the case then why hasn't every single slash writer on the Internet suddenly been struck with a terminal case of Lighting-Bolt-Itis? How come Thailand hasn't magically slid off the map? Why is San Fransisco still San Fransiscoing around? Why hasn't Sweden been overtaken by hordes of homicidal fish? Why hasn't Japan been invaded by tentacle monsters yet? India just legalized homosexuality, and last time I checked it was still hanging around on the Asian subcontinent.

Look around the world at those cultures which tolerate homosexuality and those who do not, and ask yourself which cultures best to live in. Hmm. One could live in Somalia or in France, Sudan or Sweden.
Also, while the current state of social culture in Somalia may last a long time, is that really a good thing?

You must be unaware of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Two empires that lasted a combined 1000 years. They had no problems with homosexuality. It wasn't until the Roman empire accepted Christianity as the state religion that homosexuality became a problem.
Not coincidentally, the decline of the empire followed soon after the acceptance of Christianity.
