You know, if the Justice League really existed, people like this would be smuggling kryptonite dust into the Watchtower commissary and demented shit like that.
...and they would actually make MORE sense, because self-righteous super-humans and space aliens who believe themselves above the law and have a space station with giant laser cannons are pretty legitimately terrifying. The ACLU is like a Justice League with no teeth whatsoever and a keen attention to legality, and therefore nothing to legitimately freak out about.

The thing that makes Andy even worse is that the ACLU would go just as far out of their way to protect his rights as anyone else's. To me that's the equivalent of kicking a stranger in the shin because they offered to donate their kidney to save you.
