As an actual chilean, let me tell you: nothing in the history of the US is nearly simmilar to the situation of Chile during Allende's goverment and the militar regime. The whole issue is not nearly as settled as most people from outside the country think, and a lot of falsehoods have been piled on both sides of the conflict.

Actually, the last person who said that in public was Mary Kay Letourneaux´s father(that good girl who had a baby by her 13-years-old student), a nut even for Jonh Birch society, who had to put in a halt his political carreer in the seventies because it was discovered that he had a bigamous relationship and two illegitimate children by another woman, an immigrant, nonetheless.
