Guilty as charged. From what I've read of the Qu'ran, I definitely prefer the curves of a woman...

So, by oppressing women, you're keeping them safe. Of course.
You, and every abusive spouse and significant other.

If you love the burka so much why don't you try wearing one in 100 degree weather?

Phloom is seconded. Burkas are hot.
That said, they only work when consensual. If she doesn't wanna wear them, then she shouldn't have too. Your fantasy novel shouldn't impact that any at all.

How often does a shopper not wearing a burka come home carrying the seed of Satan? You're only giving us relative risk here.
Oh, that's right--you're retarded.

Ah, how I remember the '60s and the sack dress. Actually, I can only remember seeing one girl at high school ever wearing one, but that I remember anything from the way back is a feat in itself. Here's an old note on the subject by Gerry Granahan;
I had a date for the hop last night
Up to her door everything seemed right
But to my surprise as I opened the door
I couldn't tell the front from the back
"Cause she was wearin' a sack dress
Whew what a mess!
The last time I saw her, man what a shape!!
And now she's got a shape like an egg!
No chemise, please, not for me, please
Well you can take back the sack, leave it hangin' on the rack
And bring a sweater back!!
When we arrived at the hop
We started in doin' the stroll
I told her I wanted to stop
But she wanted rock and roll
I told her forty times and it really was a crime
I was talkin' to the back of her head!!
No chemise, please, not for me, please
Well you can take back the sack, leave it hangin' on the rack
And bring a sweater back!!---yeah
Sure would like to find the creator
Who covered up my baby in this tent
He musta been a woman-hater
I keep wonderin' where the wiggle went
So won't you change the fad, have pity on me please
Put 'er back in her dungarees
No chemise, please, not for me, please
Well you can take back the sack, leave it hangin' on the rack
And bring a sweater back!!

You know what? You know what, dude?
I walk around in corsetry.
You know what else?
I've never had intercourse with Satan nor any representatives thereof, nor even a regular guy. Not once. Not even while shopping.

Rarely does a SHOPPER OF ANY KIND return from the market place carrying the seed of Satan rather than a basket of fruit. I know I've never been fucked by the devil while I'm in Barnes & Noble.
Of course, I'm a man; maybe this kind of thing only happens to women. Sound off if you're one of the victims this guy's talking about.

I have to admit, he's got me on these.
I do prefer the curves of a woman to a shitty book.
And no, not often do shoppers bring Satan home from the fruit market.
His argument is perfect. Let's all go oppress women.

This is because most shoppers know that fruit is more delicious than Satan seeds. Not many shop owners stock the latter, though it could just be a matter of display.

Yeah, that is why women who wear burqas are raped, they are found guilty of illicit sex, because we all know that yards and yards of fabric prevent rape. (heavy dose of sarcasm)

Burkha, and nikab
two items of traditional (like at least 200BCE) tribal dress from places east of Iran such as Afghanistan) intended to emphasise the propertihood of all post-pubescent females (owned by their father/male family members, husband, sons)
It sure has a lot to do with the Koran, and a lot of scholars take that view.

Oh, no, you guys are right. We'd much rather it be left up to the imagination, where we can picture her any way we want, since we can't see her. =3

Not only do I prefer the curves of a woman to the Koran, I don't think I could enjoy sticking my dick inside of a woman who actually believed in the bullshit that is in the Koran.

Still, how often does a shopper not wearing a burka return from the market place carrying the seed of Satan??? My guess is, not that often.

I think any shopper would only come home carrying the seed of Satan if it was on their shopping list, but then again, some people are compulsive buyers who will buy anything.
So where does one find the seed of Satan, in the fruit and veg isle or with the gardening supplies?

Rarely does a shopper return from the market place carrying the seed of Satan (wut).
Fixed that for ya.
As a matter of interest, I don't think I've ever seen someone wearing a Burqa. I've seen a few wearing a Niqab, but never, ever the former. Not once. This nonsense about banning the damn thing would appear to affect pretty much nobody anyway, unless people lump all Islamic headgear under one name, which would be a shame, as I find a hijab actually really hot.

Rarely does a shopper see anyone wearing a burka in the western world. And rarely is the seed of Satan for sale.

reality check: all womens' bodies look pretty much exactly the same. covering them up in a tent won't change that.
