[...]Guardian Council chief Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati told worshipers during his Friday sermon that to stay silent on the issue of improper hijab, or veil, amounts to a mortal sin. He likened women whose hair peaks out from under their scarves to hardened criminals.
"Drug traffickers are hanged, terrorists are executed and robbers are punished for their crimes, but when it comes to the law of God, which is above human rights, [some individuals] stay put and speak about cultural programs," Jannati said, referring to Ahmadinejad.
"Shall we let badly-veiled women be free in the society corrupt our youth?" he added.

I am genuinely frightened living in a World where there are entire countries full of people who think this way. How lucky we are to live in a free country.
How long must this tyrrany go on before the light of common sense and compassion finally breaks through the centuries of brainwashing and fear?
They'll be gaga at the khutbah when they see me in my burqa, my burqa made of blond, brilliantined, Biblical hair.
You wish severe punishment to woman who dare to vaguely show that they exist and are, in fact, womanly, akin to drug dealers and terrorists. And you blame THEM of corruption? How can you not see how fucked up your "morals" are?

Hey, Ahmad, go fuck yourself with a (loaded) revolver in the conservatory or with a knife in the lounge. Then go to the study where Colonel Mustard will beat you with a wrench and a lead pipe.

They appear to be letting you run loose to do so, so I don't see why "badly-veiled" women shouldn't be allowed to also.
Fucking moron.

What? Are you crazy? If anyone sees her hair they will go on a murderous rape-filled rampage. Why won't anyone think of the children!
Oh fuck it. This is just concentrated screwball in aerosol.
Oh NO! I see a tip of a nose and an ear! Dude, I know it's easier to blame a woman and her hair for your lack of control, but yanno, it's just not working for you anymore. You are a weak man.
God doesn't exist and whatever you say his law is, it certainly is not above human rights.
Oh, and fuck you with a rake.
"but when it comes to the law of God, which is above human rights"
That should pretty much sum up Islam for everyone
@WWBFD
Unfortunately the Ayatollah is in a position of power to influence others to believe this way.
And I'm really starting to wonder if all these Muslim clerics who are so afraid of seeing a woman are all frustrated impotent limp-dicks who couldn't please a woman if they wanted to (much less themselves), or are secretly gay.
@Doubting Thomas:
> I'd like to sit this asshole down & force him to watch old Baywatch episodes just to see his turban unravel.
Making him watch Baywatch would be a violation of his human rights. Better just to use porn films instead.

If your'e teaching your youth that women who wear headscarves improperly are more worthy of death than drug traffickers and terrorists, you're the one who's corrupting them.
...when it comes to the law of God, which is above human rights...
Reason number 10,191 why living in a democracy is better than living in a theocracy.
Nah, I'm more concerned about children not being taught things like sharing, thinking about people other than themselves, helping others, respecting themselves, and that violence is not an acceptable solution to their problems.

If not, you are going to badly hinder my dating strategy -- asshole.
Fuck you, Ayatollah. Go back to your third world shithole and leave the rest of us alone. In Christ, I am freed from the demands of the law, you ignorant asswipe. Live with it.
@katie5000: Kudos for the Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged Reference!
Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati: Screw human decency, I'm a misogynistic fundie!
Now, having a hair fetish myself, I know how it feels to be aroused by beautiful locks, but this is just ridiculous.
You are a prick.
You should be sat down, tied up, eyes forced open with a hardcore porn on repeat in front of you. You tongue should be cut out so you couldn't pray to you imaginary sky daddy
I would gladly watch you squirm until your brain imploded.

The ayatollah seems to have forgotten that there is nothing in the Qur'an demanding the veiling of women. Only that both men and women dress modestly. So essentially, what he is trying to enforce is cultural , not religious.
@His4Life
Freed from the demands of the law? Are you now?
Well, I guess you are on the internet.
You mind lending me a copy of Internet Tough-Guy Magazine, FSTDT?
@His4Live: "I mean the laws of the Bible"
Like the prohibition on eating shellfish? Or on mixing fabrics?
"douchebag"
You pray to your god with that mouth?
"Jesus came to set us free"
No, he came to set an example by healing the sick, helping the poor and protecting criminals from a lynch mob. Only death cultists believe that he "died for menkind's sins" et.al.
Enjoy the devil, cunt. Listen, black Christians like me choose to follow God's commands because we are free to serve, not because we have to. We are not under hte law but under grace. However, buy God's grace we thchoose to follow his commands and he enables in his grace to become holy and follow those commands. you just dont get it and i feel sorry for you, but whageevt, I'll pray for you I can't let you bring me down, ok?
Confused?
