Quote# 74057

I took my kids out for ice cream (and no, I wasn't harassed by the border patrol), and two lesbians were making out next to the front door of the establishment. I was disgusted, but didn't say anything about it. I'm kind of ashamed of myself for not saying anything to the restaurant owner. It was all for public show. "Deal with our lesbianism wherever you walk" type of thing.

I don't care what they do behind closed doors, assuming no children are involved. But it's my business when I can't leave the house or turn on the TV without seeing that garbage.

Yeah, 'cause you never see heterosexuals doing that.

I think the same thing about heterosexual couples. Get a goddamn room! Kissing in public...the gall!

You're out with your kids?
You're not only publicly displaying your sexual orientation, you're flaunting the fact that you've had sex, at least twice!
I don't mind what you disgusting heteros do behind closed doors, assuming no children are involved. But it's my business when I can't leave the house or turn on the TV without seeing that garbage.

So it would have been ok if it were a man and a woman making a public show? Because I kinda of think that that should be behind close doors.

Yes, you do care what they do behind closed doors. You're obsessed with it, and fantasize that sex is all that's involved in lesbian relationships.

Do you know how many straight couples I've seen doing that? I personally have no problem with public displays of affection, but gay OR straight, making out on the verge of foreplay shouldn't be done in such plain eyesight. THough I bet the two lesbians did little more than a kiss, and as always, it's blown out of proportion by these morons.

Oh, and way to just toss on the "gays are pedophiles" reference there asshat.

I just want to know if you'd feel the same way if a man and woman were doing the same thing at the same place. Because if you wouldn't, that makes you a hypocrite.

If the story is true, the lesbians were tacky show-offs. The same would be true if they were straight. But in some sense, gays who engage in this sort of thing are often anti-straight bigots, themselves. They presume their "audience" are homophobes and they want to shock them. I wouldn't bother them, but frankly, these kind of assholes just give homophobes more ammunition.

I would agree, if they were making out.

But knowing FC, one probably gave the other a kiss on the cheek.

Honestly, I would feel similarly. Because regardless of orientation, I don't feel comfortable when people are making out in public in a position where I have to invade their personal space (like near the front door.) I just feel uncomfortable. This guy however sounds like he'd be fine if it was a guy and a girl. I would feel equally odd. That is where we differ.

Also, despite many unfounded allegations, gay people are not all inherently pedophiles.

MrSanity sure seems to be dwelling a lot on what he saw. I think he feels guilty it turned him on. Just spank the monkey and it will be all better again.

I know right? It's disgusting all these PDAs by freaks! Just the other day I went to Walmart and there was a heterosexual couple making out on a bench in front of the McDonalds inside! I mean really get a room right?

Oh wait. You just don't like it when it's lesbians or gays making out in public.

I'd have told them to go to hell after I asked if I could watch them making out, that is.

You could've just asked them to stop. I mean, provided that it was the making out part that bothered you rather than the lesbian bit.

If they were actually making out in front an ice cream shop, of all places, then shame on them, gay or straight.

If it was just a kiss and maybe a touch of the cheek, shame on you for exaggerating.

Fundy how? If what he says is true, he didn't like two people making out in front of an ice cream store in full view of children. Would he have been as upset if they were straight? Maybe not, but it's perfectly reasonable to be disqusted by that behavior.

6/28/2010 7:32:09 PM

No, it's not actually that reasonable at all.
