Great idea -- maybe we can set up separate blood banks for other races and religions, too, so good white Christians don't have to worry about being contaminated by black or Muslim blood. You people are obviously not aware that blood for transfusion was being tested for a variety of diseases long before AIDS came along.

That you probably shaked the hand of a gay person on multiple occasions?
That at least one of your close relatives is most likely gay?
That, yes, there's a good chance that one of those blood donations your family has gotten could have come from a gay person?
In short, did you know that there are a lot of gay people in the world and that you don't know it because they are mostly, with the exception of their gender preference, just like you and me?
Clearly, the only way to avoid them is to never leave your basement.
Edit: Having read Sussi's comment, I remember in my country, the Red Cross also prohibits gays from donating blood, which is kind of strange given our otherwise tolerant look on homosexuality.

I'm a bit pissed that in Sweden men who have sex with men are not allowed to donate blood. They say it's for contamination reasons, but FFS everyone has to do bloodtests before they can donate, so I don't see why that should be an issue.
Also this idiot is just retarded. Hey Acts5:41, try putting "black people would like to have black blood" or "women would like to have female blood". Sounds stupid? Well so does this!

Reminds me of that episode of All in the Family where Archie Bunker is hospitalized and gets a large blood transfusion from a black woman. He's fine with it, despite his racism. Except if Acts5:41 got a gay blood transfusion, it would end in Bible quotes and suicide. What a waste of blood.
Also, all blood is screened for diseases and the works. If a gay guy with AIDS did try to donate, it would be rejected. Same with straight people. Preaching to the choir, but apparently it's not well-known.

I have a big issue with them donating blood, everyone in my family but me has had their life saved by blood transfusion. They are all healthy too.
How do you know the blood that saved the lives of your family members didn't come from a homosexual?
What difference would it make it it did?
Of course, if gay people would like to have gay blood available for themselves I guess that would be fine.
