Quote# 72516

You know, a couple of days after the health care bill had been signed into law Obama ran around all over the country saying, "Hey, you know, I'm looking around. The earth hadn't opened up. There's no Armageddon out there. The birds are still chirping." I think the earth has opened up. God may have replied. This volcano in Iceland has grounded more airplanes -- airspace has more affected -- than even after 9/11 because of this plume, because of this ash cloud over Northern and Western Europe. At the Paris airport they're telling people to head to the train station to catch trains out of France, and when people get to the train station they're telling people, "There aren't any seats until at least April 22nd," basically a week from now. It's got everybody in a shutdown. Earth has opened up. I don't know whether it's a rebirth or Armageddon. Hopefully it's a rebirth, God speaking.

"PS Perhaps god should try the burning bush thing again eh? He's just not getting his message across with the clarity he used to. "

He keeps trying, but every time he manifests a fucking great waterbomber drops a couple of tons of fire retardent chemicals on him.

Like I said, God has shares in Eurostar.

Actually, the disruption wasn't all that bad; a bit of bother for those inconvenienced, but the general life and economy of Western Europe carried on pretty much as normal. If God had a message, I'd say it was "Maybe you don't need aeroplanes as much as you think you do."

If the volcano is God speaking - dude needs to stop smoking.

No. The reason the planes were grounded was down to overzealous aviation authority lunatics who are only safe when everything around them is fucking bubble-wrapped (like Rush).

There's even evidence to suggest that they were not only overreacting to something minor, but something that wasn't even there. Again, kind of like Rush, except with him it's God.

Just goes to show that this biblical deity has very bad aim - or has the US invaded Iceland and taken it over, and no one told me?

Wait, so your "loving god" decides to punish Iceland (a country Far Far Away) for the decision to give everyone an equal chance for healthcare.

Remind me again why we aren't torturing small children so as to better pilot genetically engineered giant cyborgs to fight him?

A mainstream conservative leader stating that he hopes Armageddon happens, and that liberalism is the cause.

This should be more terrifying.

So because our government has finally done something beneficial for its people in this health care bill, god has chosen to punish people far, far away who already have fully functioning socialized health care? huh. Who'd have thought god possible of having such bad aim?

I guess it's just another case of God's Bad Aim. Setting off Mount St. Helens, Kilauea, or Yellowstone would show too much competence on God's part.

God must be telling the Eurpeans off then, because last I checked, that's what the volcano was affecting.

God is mad about Americans passing the health care bill, so he caused a volcano in Iceland and a huge ash cloud all over Europe.

Wait, I'm confused - I thought the volcano was because of provocatively dressed women? Now it's because of the healthcare bill? Would you all make up your mind, please.

God is so displeased with the US that he's punishing people in Europe?

If that's your God, Rush, your God is a dick with lousy aim.

Yes, the inconvenience of planes being grounded in MOST of Europe is certainly the result of God's anger at the US for passing a healthcare reform bill.

But hey, now that we passed that healthcare bill, God will be able to afford those glasses he needs to hit the right continent.

Uh, Mr. Limbaugh, I thought that you said that you'd move to Costa Rica if the health care bill was passed. Why haven't you packed your bags yet?

God is mad at USA over healthcare so He makes a volcano in Iceland blow up? THe USA has plenty of volcanos. I bet God is really mad at Iceland. Hey wait a minute, doesn't Iceland have sociallized medicine? Wow, God really does hate it when somebody goes around healing the sick.

Re: Felis >3's post
Try telling that to the 5 Finnish F-18 pilots on the 15th of April, that got their aircraft's engine bays "ash-blasted" in flight, by said eruption, & almost crashed as a result ..

If God disliked Obama that much why doesn't he smite him with lightning already?
