Actually, health care reform is meant to do the exact friggen opposite you loon. My homes state of Massachusetts has government health care but to get it you can't work more than a certain number of hours, you can't make more than a certain amount, or you have to have some pre-existing handicap (where if it's sever enough the state might supplement your insurance for free).

Really? I thought it was the insurance companies that did that. Regularly. To the point where weighing the decision to change jobs wasn't about which pays better, is in a better area, etc. but about whether or not the insurance would cover your kid's health or consider them to be too much of a "risk" to bother with.

Aye, there's the rub. And thus the nub of my gist: why do you fundies care about healthcare, least of all it becoming socialised (y'know, like the National Health Service here in the UK? Which we've had for at least 60 years). Why do you even need health insurance, or worry about it being affected by this bill's passing? After all, you have 'Faith' in your 'God' to heal all ills, therefore you don't require physicians, surgeons, nurses, hospitals, drugs, nor all the innovations & advancements that medical science has given us.
So what are you really worried about, sherrimae (and everyone else on Ruptured Retards)? A prayer a day should keep the doctor away, amirite?
If you require healthcare itself, never mind medical insurance, then you don't put much faith in your 'Faith'.
