If by "handouts" you mean the rights that are afforded to all straight married couples then it's not just the openly gay people that want those rights but those that aren't as "in your face" want them as well it's just that they're not as vocal or "in your face" about it. And why SHOULD only straight people get these 'handouts'?

No, really, what does Betty Crocker have to do with gay people OR marriage? I'm really not seeing it.

Of course, I'm a future female breadwinner whose intended says he'd like to be a stay-at-home-Dad if we can afford it, so Cowboy would probably be furious with me for totally unrelated reasons.
