Quote# 70216

Genesis 4:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in dorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

God did two things here. He cursed the way women would have children and he placed the man in charge over the woman.

Feminists fight is against the word of God. A feminist will never allow a man to RULE over her and a feminist decides whether she has to go through the pain and sorow of child birth by use of control by abortion.

Feminists are teaching women to disobey God by telling them that they do not have to allow a man to rule over them or have to have sorrow in conception .......

This is a teaching of falseness.... It is blatantly against the order that God gave women.

Ladies these feminists are teaching you to disobey God.

Please feel free to read that scripture for yourself.

'Argue With Everyone'... A breeding ground for trolls if you ask me. Should this stuff really be on this site?

That said, this guy's saying what a lot of fundies probably think anyway.

And what a great coincidence... Your god doesn't exist!

So fuck you and respect women.

I just noticed that it says " I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception" and not "childbirth" like I always thought. Does the Bible say that women are not to enjoy sex?

This is stupid. You can't fight the social forces occuring in the world. Women will continue to achieve a higher status in society as time moves forward. This is not a conspiracy. The bible is fucking irrelevant.

The Bible is the word of men, not the word of god. As such, who the fuck cares what Bronze Age misogynistic retards looking to control their women had to say about gender equality?

I'm with Serph-no-Okami on this. This post is just some retarded dude's fap-fest dream in regards to his(read "His") view on the treatment of women. I nearly steered away from saying anything, because this is probably just a very lonely (for a reason) piece of human garbage trying to use scripture to justify his shitty existence.

Fuck 'em.

If yer god wants to beat women into submission, let him try it. So far, his record of direct action's not great – almost as if he wasn't even there.

Meanwhile, every woman I know is lining up to kick you in the balls. They, at least, will conclusively demonstrate their existence to you.

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Note the pronouns. It says "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow", not every woman's sorrow; it says "[thy husband] shall rule over thee" - not "every husband shall rule over every woman". Please feel free to read that scripture for yourself. Just don't invent your own interpretation of it and expect everyone else to listen to you.

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, you're not even citing the correct chapter and verse!

Genesis 4:16 reads:

"So Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden."

The childbirth pain verse is Genesis 3:16.

But I can see why you'd miss it. You probably don't think 3:16 exists in any book other than the Gospel of John.

"God did two things here. He cursed the way women would have children and he placed the man in charge over the woman."

And it says that because it was written by men, who believed that shit.

Thanks for demonstrating the total lack of morality for your shit heel god, stating he will punish everyone for the sins of their parents.

Total moral bankruptcy.

And you can fist yourself to death, knuckledragger because you'll never get any action with attitudes like that.

I am a feminist, and I have NEVER had an abortion. I have used birth control things though, but that doesn't seem to matter. No children are coming, even though I have not used any protection for over a decade.

Please define RULE over.

When I ask this to fundies who claim this means God's punishment to Eve and all other women was pain in childbirth, I never get a satisfactory answer:

If true, then God must have somehow changed woman's anatomy to accomplish this, since the implication is that prior to this she wouldn't have had pain. If he didn't change her anatomy, he must have known that she would "fall," and never had any intention of allowing childbirth without pain.
