[RE: Religion Responsible for Abuse of Women?]

I agree, Religion has been responsible for the abuse of women. Christianity however, has never been responsible for the abuse of women and it always cherishes, loves and protects women!

I have to hand it to them, that it is true that women can't easily come to harm when they're chained to the kitchen counter, while tending to seven babies.

As long as they don't show their ankles, or let their hormones show, or try to be equals in a relationship. But after that, they're not women. They're obviously demons.

It's official. These people live in the Bizzaro World, where Atheism is a religion, but Christianity is not. Also, Kent Hovind is the foremost expert in all things science, and Jack Chick is Protestant Pope.

This may be my progressive, but decidedly male brain thinking here, but isn't it a little bit patriarchal to think that women need protection in the first place?

And let us not forget the Magdalene Asylums....where women were forced into virtual slave labor to make money for the church, usually doing laundry. And this lasted until 1996!!!!

Oh, I am sorry, by placing them in Magdalene Asylums against their will, you were protecting them from themselves!!! It all makes sense now.

Unless it's in the hands of fundamentalists, in which case women are second-class citizens whose only roles in life are to serve men, give birth, and shut the hell up.

Oh, and from personal experience "quit pissing him off" is not great advice to an abused woman, even if it is biblical.

This has GOT to be proof of interplanary travel, or communication. This person's stuck in a world that stopped progressing a long time ago, but their outmoded babble has crossed the boundaries of time and space and ended up here.
