Do you live in a cave? The agenda is to make society accept homosexuality as normal and good.

Have you noticed that

...anyone who thinks homosexuality is immoral is called a "homophobe" and has "narrow views?"

...books and magazines extolling gay behavior are easy to buy or find at the library, whereas before, they weren't?

...there are programs in schools to teach children that homosexuality is okay (this has been going on for over 10 yrs. in my area) and that gay marriage is okay?

...the more extreme and bizarre fringe of the gay culture is now more acceptable or at least not as shocking to people?

....that many once conservative churches (not to mention the liberal ones) accept homosexual couples as members, and more churches are ordaining them as ministers?

THE TRUE AGENDA!!

Do you live in a cave? The agenda is to make society reject homosexuality as evil and wrong.

Have you noticed that

...anyone who thinks homosexuality is moral is called a "fag" and is "hellbound?"

...books and radio shows extolling anti-gay behavior are easy to buy or hear at anywhere and have been for far too long?

...there are programs in churches to teach children that homosexuality is evil (this has been going on for over 2000 yrs. in my area) and that gay marriage is worse than Hitler?

...the more extreme and bizarre fringe of the fundamentalist culture is now more acceptable or at least not as shocking to people?

....that many conservative churches accept violent homophobes as members, and more churches are ordaining them as ministers?

In the past, Christianity has oppressed Jews, blacks, left-handers ('sinister' people), red-haired people 'the mark of Judas' and members of other denominations.
But this time you're not wickedly oppressing innocent people in the name of superstitious ignorance. Oh wait, you are.

...anyone who thinks homosexuality is immoral is called a "homophobe" and has "narrow views?"

That's because they are. Hey, the truth hurts.

...books and magazines extolling gay behavior are easy to buy or find at the library, whereas before, they weren't?

And that's a bad thing how...?

...there are programs in schools to teach children that homosexuality is okay (this has been going on for over 10 yrs. in my area) and that gay marriage is okay?

Well good for them (if that's true anyway). It's nice to see that our schools are doing something right.

...the more extreme and bizarre fringe of the gay culture is now more acceptable or at least not as shocking to people?

So what?

....that many once conservative churches (not to mention the liberal ones) accept homosexual couples as members, and more churches are ordaining them as ministers?

Again, good for them. Why is that a bad thing now?

And do you live in a cave, Marcia? Have you noticed these things tend to increase the more you oppress and discriminate? Are you really that tight butted that you need to tell everyone what to think at the expense of shunning people? Is this Christ like in any way, cause I coulda sworn he welcomed everyone, and spent more time helping those shunned by society.

"and more churches are ordaining them as ministers?"
I'd like a citation for this...cause it sounds like you're passing that alter boy issue with the church to use as a point in your rant after twisting it to support your point

I wish you could be shunned for something trivial you do or like by society like many others have been for merely being gay, or fat, or wear glasses, or having a disease and so on. Right to the point you're contemplating suicide or desperately trying to stop it...just so you'd get another view

Anyone who thinks homosexuality is immoral IS a homophobe and HAS narrow views.

Books and magazines rarely "extol" gay behavior. The push is for equality, which means that they're treating homosexuality as no big deal.

These programs do not exist. There are no programs teaching them that homosexuality ISN'T okay, though; the easiest way to normalize it is to not make a big deal about it one way or the other, so it just becomes a mundane reality.

How convenient that this claim cannot be substantiated by any objective metric.

Awesome.

"anyone who thinks homosexuality is immoral is called a "homophobe" and has "narrow views?""

Yes, in much the same way that someone who studies fish for a living is called an "icthyologist" and has "interest in fish"

"Do you live in a cave? The agenda is to make society accept homosexuality as normal and good."

Oh the horror!!!

"Have you noticed that

...anyone who thinks homosexuality is immoral is called a "homophobe" and has "narrow views?"

Which is true

"...books and magazines extolling gay behavior are easy to buy or find at the library, whereas before, they weren't?"

And books extolling hateful and homophobic behavoir are also easy to buy or find at the library. Freedom is a 2-way street.

"...there are programs in schools to teach children that homosexuality is okay (this has been going on for over 10 yrs. in my area) and that gay marriage is okay?"

And yet you guys have been given the opportunity to prove that homosexuality and gay marriage isn't ok and all you've come up with is that it makes a being that nobody has proven to exist angry.

"...the more extreme and bizarre fringe of the gay culture is now more acceptable or at least not as shocking to people?"

Yes, I think it's a great thing that people are turning about from bronze age and medieval worldviews and accepting that it's 2010, not 1310.

"...that many once conservative churches (not to mention the liberal ones) accept homosexual couples as members, and more churches are ordaining them as ministers?"

I also think it's a great thing that churches are progressing into the 21st century too.

"...anyone who thinks homosexuality is immoral is called a "homophobe" and has "narrow views?""

Hey. If the shoe fits...

"...books and magazines extolling gay behavior are easy to buy or find at the library, whereas before, they weren't?"

And the problem with providing resources to those who have homosexual orientations and struggle with self-hatred put on by society is?

"...there are programs in schools to teach children that homosexuality is okay (this has been going on for over 10 yrs. in my area) and that gay marriage is okay?"

Yes. Terrible that they teach children not to "hate fags".

At least such programs don't indoctrinate children into christian fanatics devoted to the point of suicide bombing. (Jesus Camp)

"...the more extreme and bizarre fringe of the gay culture is now more acceptable or at least not as shocking to people?"

Well yes. I don't care for the parades and much of the ultra femmed out, sex crazed display many in that community put on.

But let's talk about the extreme nature of some heteros. Last I checked no gay ever beat a straight to death and tied them to a fence simply for being straight.

"....that many once conservative churches (not to mention the liberal ones) accept homosexual couples as members, and more churches are ordaining them as ministers?"

Well that's their decision, and I say good for them. Maybe they finally realized how rediculous it is to quote morality from Leviticus, or to determine a person's character by his/her sexual orientation.

"I can't wrap my head around their problem with being called homophobes. If you're against equality for gays and lesbians, you are a homophobe. Homophobes get called homophobes for purposes of description. Why would we refrain from calling homophobes homophobes? What word are we supposed to use?"

Asshole comes readily to mind.

A big happy "yes" to all, but the fourth. I don't know of any "more extreme and bizarre fringe of the gay culture".

On the third, I disagree with the notion that there are "programs". Homoseuxals are just treated like the normal, everyday humans that they are.
