You say it is none of my business and that it is a non-issue, whereas everything I know says otherwise. We're talking about a lifestyle which will cause a person to believe that homosexuals will burn in Hell for eternity and you're saying it should be a non-issue to me? When will people realize that not everything in this world revolves around their religion alone? I care about people living a lifestyle that thinks God calls homosexuality an abomination. I care about whether that lifestyle is taught to our kids as something that should be accepted. You want to be accepted? Stop practicing right-wing Christianity. People who believe in evil gods and then turn around and expect others to embrace them for it and even call it right never cease to amaze me.

And yet the same can be said about homophobes, that it isn't just a personal issue, it's everyone's business when people's rights are being unduly restricted because of religious bigotry. The same goes for any other brand of institutionalized discrimination.

And if you care so badly about people burning in hell for behavior God doesn't like, then why don't you care so badly about heterosexuals who commit adultery? I haven't heard too many Christians going on and on about Tiger Woods burning in hell.
Or why aren't you out trying to keep people from eating shellfish? The same book of the bible that prohibits homosexuality prohibits eating shellfish, cutting your hair, or wearing clothes made of mixed fibers. All of these are an abomination, yet you fundies never try to ban them.

Yes. That's what living in a "free country" is all about. It means you don't get to dictate how other people live their lives, even if you don't agree with it.
I know you think it means "I'm free not to pay taxes for anything I don't like and you're free to do what I say," but that's not how it works.
