Quote# 67842

People often forget that the tiniest sin against a perfect, eternal God is intolerable. That ANYONE is allowed to enter heaven is an incomprehensible act of mercy.

If your god is indeed perfect, then how is it possible for him to create imperfection, especially if such imperfection is intolerable to him?
Your god fails at logic.

Then your god is an insufferable prick. I could do a better job than he does.

If God is perfect, then his creations can only be perfect. Perfection can only create perfection. FAIL!

In all fairness, this is really just the logical extreme of Catholic guilt.

"...an incomprehensible act of mercy."

I feel so fortunate that God allowed me to be born, and to survive each ensuing day of my life...now if he would only grant me the gift of good hair (like the TV Preachers), I would feel complete and welcome my entry into Heaven.

Every day that I suffer the indignities of bad hair, I am driven further into the arms of atheism. Even my goldfish has no respect for me, just yesterday he told me, "Your hair sucks, if that stupid god you worship won't do anything about it, I'm movin' out!"

Your parents are far from perfect and eternal, and I'm sure you've "sinned" against them many times. Yet they allowed you to live. What makes God's doing the same thing an "incomprehensible act of mercy"? In fact, if He condemned us to hell for any simple thing we did wrong, He'd be a tyrant and a monster.

Even the tiniest sin? That condemns you to hell? Then please explain how jeebus got to go to heaven, seeing how he was a horse thief and all....Mark 11:1-7.

Oh, Catholic Answers. Now that is a great source of mindless entertainment. Its almost as good as this site.

"That ANYONE is allowed to enter heaven is an incomprehensible act of mercy."

Fortunately, Allah is all-merciful.

Then god needs to grow the fuck up and learn some tolerance.

So what happens when somebody in heaven commits a sin? Do THEY get sent to hell for the rest of eternity, too?

Or are you saying that nobody sins in heaven, which means in heaven there is no free will?

Then you are going to hell for daring to say you know the mind of God. Have a nice trip!

people often forget that the tiniest "sin" against a vain, self centered blood god is intolerable. That ANYONE wants to live their lives trying not to piss it off, die and enter a blood gods "perfect" heaven is an incomprehensible act of insanity. and against the odds in first place apparently.

"perfect, eternal"

Sounds nonexistent to me.

People often forget that the tiniest sin against our perfect Leader is intolerable. That ANYONE is allowed to live in his country is an incomprehensible act of mercy.

Fixed to reflect the dictator you worship. Is it me, or does heaven sound a lot like North Korea?
