You're kidding yourself if you think this is about 'formal language' [i.e., the scientific definition of 'theory'] as opposed to Satan doing what he has done, according to Scripture, from DAY ONE, which is to get man to question whether what God said is true or not. I don't simplyfy Satan or his tactics, (which he's spent millenia dreaming up), that way. It's only one step removed from admitting he isn't real.
