Why do you guys gnash your teeth so much about health care? I thought you guys just prayed and BAM! You're cured. I pay $2,000 a month. Would you pay that for private care? We are changing to catastrophic care but it will soar if one of us is admitted for pure observation. So shut the hell up, refuse any care and you can try and play the persecuted card. What a bunch of wankers you guys are. One other thing: You think every single physician, N.P. or P.A. is at the top of the heap? LMAO! Why do you think holistic medicine is on the rise? Idiots.

Fine, April, you win.
Any health care bill must contain language making it OK for fundies to not have health insurance or access to health care.* Their only health care option will be to pray, and under no circumstances will they be allowed medical treatment in the event they have cancer or are in a car accident.
You happy now? Praise Jaysus!
* Obviously this will only apply to adults. Any children of fundies will be treated as needed.
Also in my Playboy this month they reported on an article in the Journal of Health (I think that's the one). In that study the more religious a person was the more likely he or she was to demand extreme measures be taken when suffering from terminal conditions. ... Seems like they would want to pull the plug so they could see Jaysus sooner?

Horsefeathers asked:
"Where the hell were you when the Patriot Act was passed?"
Now now, that's different. The Patriot Act only affected those darkie terrorists.

Seems to me that refusing healthcare would constitute suicide, which is a sin. Or am I being too logical?

Maybe the Healthcare Act could restrict fundies to treatments available in the middle-east during the first-century AD? After all, there are the same number of mentions of germ theory in Bible as there are of evolutionary theory (ie, none). So germ theory is just as un-Christian as the ToE. Ignoring both should keep everyone happy.
No need for any antibiotics or anesthetics for the fundies, a few incantations and some scattered dove's blood will suffice, leaving more funds for sane people. Everyone's happy (except maybe for PETA, but they're just another breed of fundie).

Well...I knew this was Coming for a long time. I always thought that one day our freedom would be taken away. I always knew back in my younger years, some people were giving the Government TOO MUCH POWER and that these people in the Government would eventually go on the Path OF EVIL. Power Hungry & Greed....Fuels these People in Demon City. or Demonic Control City.
[Somehow, I don't believe you felt this way when Bush was in office.]
There will be Forced Abortions & Forced Suicides. (these are Grave Sins, Evil to the Fullest) Religious Freedom Beliefs...
[I guess the only thing worse than (imaginary) forced abortions and suicides is *not* to have forced religion...]
And Also,
This Healthcare is intruding on ones rights to Religious Freedoms of not having Healthcare. Someone doesn't want it, Okay the Gov't says "but you will be FINED"...Fined on Something you don't believe in.
That is Intrusion on your Belief System.
[Imaginary forced suicide = Bad. Voluntary suicide = good. After all, Penicillin thwarts God's will, amirite?]
No One is Talking about these Issues....On Being FINED on Something you Don't Believe in...Being Fined on Religous Beliefs....Not one Radio Host has talked on this point, not even one Real Republican rep., if there are anymore.
[A religious belief can be too stupid to accommodate for, and this is a prime example. And if you deny your kid medical care because of some bullshit religion, you can EABOD (DIAF would earn you too many Persecution Points)]

He makes it sound like healthcare is something a strange sect of people worship in their basements. Not believing in healthcare is not a religious belief. It's not even a rational belief.

Oh, FFS. Nobody is talking about it on the radio (or anywhere else) because nobody feels a need to talk about something some random lunatic pulled out of their ass.

Sounds just like the kind of thing people would say... the day after a certain Republican was voted in, in late 1999. Those people being Democrat voters. Certainly after he was voted in again in 2003. And things went downhill as a result. Certainly the rest of what you posted in RR, April.
But that's par for the course with you & your ilk, now you're suffering as we did from 2000-2008. Everything you fundies & neocons say on Ruptured Retards is merely mass butthurt that your precious Caribou Barbie and the Corpse LOST last year. It's OUR turn to gloat, feel superior and holier-than-thou, now that our man's in the White House.
Live with it.

Someone has to explain to me this mad fear America has of public healthcare. I don't get how one could feasibly be against the government paying to keep its poorer citizens alive.

Churchs don't pay taxes, under the Bush administration churchs could recieve up to $10,000 free for church repairs, upgrades or expansion.
Talk about being forced to pay for something you disagree with and which would also never help you in any way

Let's make sure that convicted fundamentalists receive federally funded sterilization.
As long as the doc is in the pelvic area, a lobotomy would also be appropriate.

Yet another idiot who clearly has no idea what the health plan even says. I've yet to see an argument against the health plan based on anything that is actually IN the health plan.

Small note--a "forced" suicide, that's murder. If you kill yourself, that's suicide. If someone else kills you, that's murder. It is impossible to "force" suicide. Otherwise, you're changing the definition, and I thought you people were against changing the definitions of things?
