The true account of creation is believable. The body's composition is the same as dust from the ground

Well yeah, everything organic on the planet is more or less made from the same finite set of elements.
More water in the body though...leads me to wonder if Dog and all his angels pissed on the heap of dust to boost the water content.
Human bodies are made up of oxygen, carbon, hydrogen and other elements.
Honestly I don't know what the chemcial makeup of dust (I'm not a chemist) is but I don't think it's the same
Not really. Our bodies are closer to sea water than dirt. They're made mostly of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen, with calcium, iron and a few other minerals thrown in. Dirt contains great quantities of silicon and aluminum, which our bodies have very little of, and very little of the nitrogen needed to make protein. In nature, most nitrogen comes from lightning or from nitrogen-fixing bacteria, mainly in the roots of legumes like clover (or nowadays, from lawn fertilizer). Since fundies believe it didn't rain until Noah's Flood (otherwise they can't explain how the rainbow appeared for the first time), dirt would have contained little or no nitrogen until bacteria had time to put it there.
Actually, house dust is about 90% human skin, because mammals constantly shed small amounts of skin, and humans are the dominant mammal of any household. Abandoned farmhouses collect surprisingly little dust.
Humans are primarily composed of Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Nitrogen, as are all living organisms. Considering that this thus encompasses the most common element in the universe and the most common compound on Earth, the fact that there's a degree of overlap between people and dirt is unremarkable. However, the chemical composition of dirt is rather different than that of humans--it's like saying that the composition of, say, Harry Potter is the same as that of the Bible. They both contain words composed of the same set of letters, but the way in which they are organized are very different.

OK, here are the numbers:
Oxygen: body: 65%, dirt: 47%
Carbon: body: 18, dirt: traces
Hydrogen: body: 10%, dirt: traces
Nitrogen: body: 3%, dirt: traces
Silicon: body: 0%, dirt: 27%
Aluminum: body: 0%, dirt: 8%
Iron: body: .7%*, dirt: 5%
* Total of Iron, Copper, Zinc, Selenium, Molybdenum, Fluorine, Chlorine, Iodine, Manganese and Cobalt
Lifelong Student needs to pay attention in school.
The top 10 most common elements in the Earth's crust are oxygen, silicon, aluminum, iron, calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, titanium, and hydrogen. Carbon is found in organic minerals called carbonates, like calcite, dolomite, and aragonite. These make up the bulk of limestone and marble.
No... just no. It is NOT the same composition and for you to even suggest something is absolute stupidity, not ignorance because the correct information is not only out there for you to learn about now, but I'm POSITIVE was offered to you in school, and you CHOSE to ignore it. Stop breathing my oxygen now. You are simply wasting space here.
'Lifelong Student' huh? Right. Try actually learning something, like the average life span is between 78 and 84 yrs. And try reading something more than religious tracts, might brighten your 'spirit' a bit.
And if that fails, try Prozac.
Wow, you just keep em coming, don't you? So you believe we are all the incestuous descendants of two people? Kinda gross, huh?
The body's composition (not by proportions) is the same as much of the food you eat, the ocean, stars, comets, meteors and meteorites, your ancestors, fish, clouds. . . . The only thing it proves is that nutrient cycles exist on earth and the human body participates in them.
You realize we -could- claim evolutionary theory is true for the same reason, except that the argument is completely useless.
Well, so what? Household dust is mostly dead skin from the people who live there. Not surprising that the two would be similar.
Outside? Well, animals are made of naturally occuring elements just as all the varieties of naturally occuring dust. BFD.
P.S. Which is the true account of creation and exactly how did you establish its truth?
The true account of creation is believable.
So long as you're more believing of magic than you are of the actual physical evidence in front of you.
The body's composition is the same as dust from the ground
Really? Sculpt a body out of dust then, see how that goes. Everything according to science is made up of atoms according to the current theory, living and non-living, not 'dust'.

When can you start?
The true account of creation is believable.
You're right, the true account is. Granted, I'm not able to follow all the science behind it, but I've had it explained to me so that I can understand it, and it does make sense. Your account, on the other hand, is not.
The body's composition is the same as dust from the ground
No, no it isn't.
Well, living tissue and dirt ARE both composed of baryonic dark matter.
But I think the similarity ends there.
Another disciple of Kent Hovind. G0d, do they multiply?
...
*thinks about it*
This guy probably paid 50$ for this nugget of wisdom, or the current price of Kent's promotional kit. Makes me wonder if I could earn millions that way. I'll pay taxes, though.

=====Patently untrue. Girls are made of sugar and spice and all things nice.
And boys are made of snots and snails and puppy-dogs' tails.
So there! My Grandmother told me so, and one never argued with grandmother!
Maybe yours is, at least your brain's.
Otherwise, no. Not even remotely fucking close. Just like a cauliflower's composition is not the same as rocks from the moon.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
