If only he had a decent high school science education, then maybe he would know why that statement is so full of fail.

There's endless proof, it's called the fossil record, and mthe majority of Christians are intelligent enough to understand that. Maybe those three Republicans are just smarter than you are, and don't belong to a fundy cult.

Obviously we can totally take this guy seriously! I mean, he definitely knows what a scientific theory is!
Oh, wait, he doesn't. I don't know why, but Texas is just one of those places that is infamous for mistrust in our scientific progress...George Bush is a reflection of that.

Why do you think humanists and atheists want to chew on pure fail?

Evolution is a working theory, and it sure beats the fairy tale of a man made of clay, and then a cross sex clone made from his rib.

Clearly the 3 republicans that voted against this are not conservatives...or Christian.
I don't care if they're republican or not, they're clearly clever enough to realize the future needs educated, intelligent people, not ignorant hicks.

Well, in fact evolution qualifies as a theory.
Creationism on the other hand qualifies merely as a hypothesis.
Do you know the difference?
I bet you don't.

I hate to break it to ya but "goddidit" isn't actually a theory.

Evolution is fact. The theory of evolution is an incomplete set of descriptions of how this fact occurs.
Creationism is a disproven hypothesis.

Apparently, words don't mean what this dumbfuck thinks they mean. He bungles republicans, conservatives, christians, humanists, atheists, evolution, science, theory, conjecture, and proof. That doesn't leave him with much.

1 Learn what the word theory means.
2 Evolution is a fact and a theory, just like gravity.
3 Neither evolution nor any other branch of science proves or disproves the existence of God.
4 That being said, aren't you a little old to have an imaginary friend?

Ummm.. No. It's pretty obvious in the fossil record. Do creationists have different eyes which can't see fossils or something?

Actually they are real republicans, not the super crazy Christian fundamentalist type that seem so common nowadays.

"This is so very sad. Clearly the 3 republicans that voted against this are not conservatives...or Christian."
I thought ID had nothing to do with christian creationism.
I even thought that ID having nothing to do with christian creationism was a very very important thing, otherwise it could be interpreted as christians trying to push their religion into the public schools through the science classes.

What makes you think they aren't conservative nor Christian? And organisms have been observed to adapt to their environments. And do you know how a hypothesis becomes a theory? And for you to chew on: If evolution is only a theory, so is Creationism. Which is conjecture with no proof. Sorry! Now go learn about hypothesis and how they become theories before you throw the word theory out there

So will fundies let teachers teach the "strengths and weaknesses" of Genesis alongside the strengths and weaknesses of evolution so the kids can see the whole picture and not just the part preferred by the Baptists who are pushing this stuff?

So you admit creationism isn't real?
Still, "theory" does not mean "guess". It means an explanation of the evidence. When you put all the evidence together, it all points to evolution, so that is the theory.

Nitpick.
Creationism is *not* a hypothesis. A hypothesis needs to be testable.
