Why are fundies so afraid of homosexuality? It's okay to be gay people. You don't have to actively hunt it down in order to prove to yourself that you aren't gay. Take a little time to think about yourself, realize you are might be gay, and live with it.

YAY!
I vote we make President Obama an honorary Fundie Hunter.
Now for no more DOMA, a federal nondiscrimination clause, marriage equality, and free event passes to Southern Decadence for everyone!

[The Bible does hold that homosexuality is a crime against nature]
The bible also says that "Bastards"(Children whose parents never married each other) are a crime agianst nature too.
[... that they needn’t take the Apostle Paul’s warning in the first chapter of the book of Romans too seriously ...]
The Apostle Paul also warned women not to wear that which is pertaining to a man. But that dosen't stop christian women from wearing pants.

Let's see... Treaty of Tripoli, claiming a bunch of fuckwits represent the full sentiment of the population, agendas, the bible being some sort of authority... Yep, this is some high-class crap here.

Until these people start raging against shellfish, clothing made of blended fibers, and any of the other nutty things the bible explicitly forbids (including christmas trees; Jeremiah 10:2), they really don't have a leg to stand on. Come on, Rev. Michael Bresciani, you can't pick and choose!

The philosophical distance between "little independent fundamental churches" and the Vatican is not as far as you think.
Welcome back to the United Nations, America. We missed you.

It's about time. It's not a crime to be born blue eyed, or left handed, so being born homosexual should also not be a crime.
A RELIGIOUS book, written by men who wanted to control everything, said homosexuality is a crime. Yeah, like that's a good thing to follow.

...regardless of America’s Christian heritage...
It always gets me how these folk completely ignore America's rich ...pagan? heritage whenever they make sweeping statements such as this. Oh wait, I'm an idiot -- of course indians don't count! They didn't have a flag.
Morons.

Oh, and the Vatican? The Vatican is outraged when people living in countries that are overrun with HIV/AIDS and other preventable STDs want to use condoms.
Fuck you, and fuck your idiotic rationalizations for your personal hang-ups.

The Bible does hold that wearing mixed fabrics is a crime against nature.
The Bible does hold that eating shellfish is a crime against nature.
The Bible does hold that women wearing pantsuits is a crime against nature.
Anything else?

The bible does hold that sowing two different plants on the same field is crime against nature. It also holds that building irrigation channels is playing god, and that speaking to those who you cannot see you is witchcraft. Want to rethink that, Reverend?

Yay for Obama! I think of things that are a lot more frightening than homosexuality.
Starting with the fact that for those with an educated world-view, homosexuality isn't "frightening" at all.

You know, seeing as i'm Australian and all that, American politics had never interested me, up until George Bush started fucking everything up. I took a mild interest because he was good for lulz, but when i heard Obama was elected, i was so happy i almost cried.
Not only does it show that America has finally done the right thing in hiring an intelligent and grounded human being for president, but he pisses the fundies off sooooooo much!
Brilliant
Well done America! :D

The President has announced to the Congress his intentions to sign the UN declaration that calls for the decriminalization of homosexuality. The declaration that George W. "Puppet President" Bush used to pander to special interests has now been approved by all 27 member nations of the European Union.
Ignoring the moral cowardice of over half of the American public Barack Obama has proven that the hallmarks of his presidency will be to further outreach to oppressed minorities, regardless of America’s Christian televangelists or the basic sentiments of the sheeple. He has hit the ground running on pro-choice and LGBT rights causes that are causing disgust all the way from little homegrown churches of hate to humongous, wealthy churches of essentially equal hate, but with added closet pedophilia!
The Bible does hold that gay male sex is a crime against nature (everything else is cool though, even lesbian sex*) but Barack Obama has assured the doubtful that they needn’t take the Apostle Paul’s warning in the first chapter of the book of Romans too seriously because it is, after all “fabricated” according to a disgruntled FSTDT contributor.
Fixed, sorta.
*Especially lesbian sex

And little fundamental churches (like the nutty Phelps-Clan) and the Catholic Church (may I remind you of the 9 year old girl in Brazil who was excomunicated for having an life-saving abortion after being raped by her stepfather) are always right on such issues, right?
Oh, and most people in Europe think Obama rocks. I'm one of them.
