There were pedophiles before and there still are. That has nothing to do with people being open about being gay. God is still allowed in school. The only thing that's changed is the school can't sponsor religious ceremonies. As for being afraid to talk about God in public, evangelists have only themselves to blame for trying to push their religion on others.
