So, I was wondering if buying used books online, like thru the used venders on Amazon.com, was bad, as in can books be cursed? I noticed alot of the vendors from Oregon or NY, and I know occult is big in lots of those areas. I checked other books some of the vendors had and they had many demon, occult, type of books sometimes. I take Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, so I know I have nothing to fear... but if I give some books (like Catholicism for Dummies) as a gift to someone who is not a believer yet, do they get harmed?

Books can't carry demons (they're very sensitive to paper cuts), but they can carry Protestant cooties. Who knows if your book might have rubbed against Luther's writings on the warehouse? Beware!

I was raised in a very Italian devout Roman Catholic family. I really don't remember all these worries about demons. We had the fear of God in us, but never demons. Is this something new in the Catholic church? I've been away for a long long time.

A little off topic, but I was just wondering:)

Curses are delicate and do not travel well. Almost any form of shipment will weaken if not kill your average, garden variety curse.

I wonder if he thinks the Vulgate Bible could be cursed in this manner....
