I haven't mentioned this around these parts before, but I'm an atheist and I'm a member of a UU fellowship in Pennsylvania. The way that UU church responded to it (complete with a "My Turn" article by the minister in a Newsweek magazine a couple of months ago) proves that openness to differing viewpoints is far superior to fundamentalism.

Given that I am both an avowed atheist and a soon-to-be UU (I will be joining a society in the Midwest this Tuesday), I have to concur with Mudak and laud the congregation.
As for the original poster all I have to say is this: Sure, fundamentalism is a valid viewpoint (there are after all no right or wrong answers and just because I may personally find them wrong does not necessarily make them so), but taking anything to violence isn't a legitimate way of expression.
Thus this man should be locked away for the rest of his life lest he harm society.
