I see a lot of comments about how the collapse of America only means the rapture is very near but what if America collapses and we all succumb to horrible deaths and the rapture ISN'T very near?

Why do they think that a financial or governmental collapse is going to lead to mass persecution of RR members, that doesn't even make any sense? If anything it lead to a revival and even more people that RR can accuse of not being True Christians(TM).
