"Women are important in a man's life only if they're beautiful and charming and keep their femininity"
Hmmm, I'd rather have a girl who has a voracious sexual appetite, is a bit of a pothead, and is easy to get along with.

/You've never produced a Michelangelo/
Artemisia Gentileschi called. She wants you to know that she ranks you right down there with the disgusting, miserable piece of pond scum who raped her and the colossal examples of stupidity and misogyny who acquitted him. While she had her artistic revenge on them by painting the masterpiece of Judith beheading Holofernes, she will also grant you a painting, albeit one that is ten times more gruesome than the original, includes your intestines being ripped out from your body, and that is broadcast across the world for all to see what a pathetic excuse for a human being you are.

Given that large parts of the world still refuse to educate its women and treats them merely as 'walking wombs', I'd say women on the whole are doing a bloody great job!
Some ladies are *not* given opportunities, Mohammad, and that's down to misogynist twits like you.

Hmm...Hatshepsut and Queen Elizabeth were able to, y'know, hold on to their countries. Yeah, going with them here, Pahlavi.
(Also, to other members of FSTDT if you didn't click the link or didn't figure it out yet: Not some random Muslim here. Actually, someone who was known for trying to Westernize his country before it wanted it. That whole Iranian Revolution thing? Yeah, it wouldn't have turned half as Islamic if it wasn't fighting an un-Islamic person in the first place. Actually, I'd probably disqualify this on the grounds that the only thing he was fundamentalist about was his own authoritarian rule, but since everyone's been going around saying "Not all fundies are religious" I'll have to let a self-fundy stand.)

Let me mention a few ladies, a few French ladies, to be exact:
Isabella, the Duchess of Lorraine: After her husband was defeated and captured during the Battle of Bulgneville, Isabella led an army to rescue him and took control of his kingdoms while he was in prison.
Renee Bordereau: basically the Joan of Arc of the French Revolution (or rather, Counter-Revolution). Having disguised herself as a man, she fought more than two hundred battles and liberated fifty priests from prison.
Marie Marvingt: otherwise known as the "Fiancee of Danger." Not only was she a heavily decorated athlete, but she was a combat pilot for bombing missions during both World Wars, she created the air ambulance, she invented metal skis for sand during the time she spent in Algeria, and she served in the Red Cross.
Virginie Guyot: a fighter pilot of the Armée de l'Air who became the first woman in the world to command a precision aerobatic demonstration team when she was appointed leader of the Patrouille de France, which is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious demonstration teams. She has been engaged in operations in Chad, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan and now plans to join the Air Force in France.

If you risk getting burned at the stake, or getting stoned to death, for wanting to run your own life, you don't push that hard for showing yourself to be a genius.
There is the "lack of opportunity" you were looking for, Bubba. The patriarchy killed off every promising woman it could find, for hundreds and hundreds of years.

My dear Mr. Pahlavi, have you ever flown with a commercial passenger aircraft, and have you arrived at your destination safely, together with your luggage? Isn't this a great achievement of our modern society? In former times, it took weeks or even months for a journey. Nowadays, it is possible to reach every major city in the world in a few hours.
If you ever visited a certain airport in Europe, then you owe a lot to my wife. She is responsible for the airport logistics at one of the major airports in the world. And she is doing a great job.
You now better apologize for your rude insult, and say a big "thank you!" to my wife. And you better start to be grateful that feminism made it possible that a highly intelligent woman has the opportunity to put her talents to good use instead of wasting her brains by staying at home.
