Yeah, maybe if you were arguing about the "Bats aren't birds part" You could use the fact that ancient people were uneducated as a defense, but otherwise, no.

You're right, people in the ancient world didn't speak english. They had enough words to cover the concepts though.

It's almost impossible to comment on this. I mean, do I just say that Carico is stupid and leave it at that? We already knows she's stupid, probably insane, so there would seem little point. Just as there's little point to most of what she says.

Just because they didn't call it lava, since that is the English version of the word, I'm sure they knew what it was and had a word for it in their language.

Oh, this is about the pillar of salt shit.
Look Carico, in the region there are pillars of salt that are naturally formed
Myths are about explaining the world around us, so saying that they were people who disobeyed God is fairly natural.
Here's a link to RicharDawkins.net that I can't get into (I'm having account issues)

Not that Carico cares, she's the most brain dead person I've ever met, and I've been in a morgue.

God you just don't give up do you? You know nothing about anything and have a superiority complex to boot.
No, people in the ancient world didn't have the same words as we did (computer, internet, iPod, LP, CD. . .) but that doesn't tell us a damned thing about whether or not they knew what lava is. I expect they knew where it came from, they knew when it cooled it was a rock, and those in metalworking societies knew you could melt stuff that was like rock, so they probably knew lava was molten rock.
ASH is what BURIED the people at Pompeii and made MOLDS of them. It wasn't lava and they weren't solidified.

I would tell Carico that Pompeii was buried by a pyroclastic flow, but I'm not sure she'd be able to spell it.

Pompei was destroyed by a pyroclastic flow (thats a ton of hot ash) not lava you moron.

People in the ancient word didn't have the same words we have today.
I'm sure you know this from your deep scholarly knowledge of ancient civilizations and their culture and languages. Oh wait, that's right.... you don't. Now would you kindly shut up until you can be bothered to get at least a grade school education.
they didn't know what lava was except that it was different than ash.
It's not much of a stretch to work out that lava is very hot semi-liquid rock, I mean fuck, even you could figure that out on your own.
How is it that you expect people to believe that these ancient cultures were so completely ignorant but then turn around and expect us to believe that a guy named Noah from an even more ancient culture was capable of building this wooden boat that was so advanced for it's time that it can't be duplicated today in such a way that would make it seaworthy?
In fact, it contains sulphur and it solidifies objects and people as it did in Pompeii
When lava touches something it tends to burn or melt, not to solidify. Pompei was hit by pyroclastic flow, which is superheated volcanic gasses and ash, not lava.
Why is it that you insist on making a fool of yourself every single time you open your mouth?

Ash buried the people of Pompeii and formed casts around their bodies, so even after the bodies disintegrated we were able to make molds out of the space they left behind. Trust me, last semester I did a research paper on Pompeii. 5 secondary sources and 1 primary. I got 80%. :-)

Lava doesn't solidify people. That's the problem with so many of you religious dipsh*ts. You see something and, instead of looking up the facts, you jump to some conclusion you've pulled from you butts.
P.S. You're right, lava IS different from ash. Congrats.
