[Turn off your irony meters before reading]

Do atheists ever realize the ridiculousness of their beliefs?

Atheists put their "faith" in unproved theories. Theories that try but fail to explain the origin of life and the universe. Their theories are usually proved wrong every century or less, as new evidence and technologies come into usage. The leap of faith required to believe such nonsensical theories is difficult to fathom.

Unlike scientific theories, God has been a constant throughout all human history.

Except for lack of belief in god, there is no set of beliefs that defines an atheist. Quit trying to say there is.

"Do atheists ever realize the ridiculousness of their beliefs?"

This from people who go berserk about Obama being gay/muslim/antichrist who was born in Kenya/Indonesia/England.

"Their theories are usually proved wrong every century or less, as new evidence and technologies come into usage."
Changed to accommodate new evidence =/= proven wrong.

Rebuttle is pointless. It is apparent that this person is extremely moronic. Arguing with brick wall would make for a better debate.

Yes, God's Faithful Disciple. How can I not have seen the light, why the Universe is dome shaped with solid firmament separating the higher and lower waters. Two dimensional stars are smeared on its surface and it hangs over a flat Earth. It was built by an - all powerful being who can still be thwarted by iron chariots and good wrestlers. Humans are clearly the product of an incestuous union between two mud - puppets who were tempted by a talking snake. How could I possibly have entertained any other notions besides these ones? For shame, I am a fool! (hangs head)

However, evolution hasn't been disproved. On the contrary, as each day goes by the evidence for evolution gets stronger and stronger. Evolution is now one of the most solidly backed theories in science, if not the most solid.

Just because you are stupid doesn't mean everybody is. You'll have to take my word for it, that people can do difficult things, things which seem inconceivable to you, things like science and advanced mathematics. However, most normal people can understand and engage in scientific endeavors given a reasonable level of education.

god has been constant, eh? that's funny, when i look at the old testament god and compare him to the new testament god, i dont see much that's constant.

Atheists don't have any beliefs or faiths.

The belief in God has also changed every century or less.

I'd rather adhere to the scientific theories that can be changed when found a bit flawed, than to God that is "infallible".
