[Explaining how the carnivores would eat on a decimated post-flood world]...and grazing animals eat everyday, predators can go without food for several weeks without a kill...ever watch david attenbrough programs where a lion doesnt make a kill for ages? also the possbility of fish left on the land after the water drains away, eaily enough scavenging food for predators...maybe a whale left somewhere? the possbilities of food are endless

The carcases would start to go bad almost instantly, especially after being in water for 40 days, or whatever it was. Soon there would be foul-smelling liquifying bodies everywhere. Ghiääää! Meat for all the flies and maggots, yes, but not many scavengers will eat really rotten meat. Plus, predators and scavengers are not the same thing. The first ones kill and eat, the second ones eat what is allready dead.

A male lion does not have to make a kill. That is the female lion's job. He watches the kids and instills fear in opponents.
