I knew this was going to happen. It's sad and scary, but hilarious, watching people trip all over themselves to try to make excuses about why they're so damn scared that a black man has been elected president.
People have been predicting the imminent end of the earth for thousands of years, they've all been wrong so far. What makes you think you are right?
And I knew they'd be saying these things, I've been looking forward to it all week. Watching the fundies freak out and throw temper tantrums is hilarious.
I've only recently kept track of politics, but two things come to mind:

Your country were more doomed when Dubbya took office. But, President Obama managed to pull you most of the way out of the slump.
Your country will be definitely doomed if Drumpf gets elected. No, not the Rapture; the deportation of hard-working people and the drop in science-based education for the majority will leave you far behind countries with proper public education. The 1850-ish treatment of women and minorities will make them and people related to them want to move to a country moving forward.
