They were doing something unscriptural and God was warning them to get back on track or Satan ( who can control the weather) tried to kill off the main actor so the movie couldn't finish, and God protected him. Either way, its beyond a freaky coincidence.

During the filming of "The Passion of the Christ", lightning struck near the set, hitting the star. The actor wasn't badly injured, and in spite of the warning the filming continued.
