Quote# 5151

The remains of Babylon of course is still there. It has never been rebuilt, even though they have tried to rebuild it over the years... The burning bush of moses is said to still be alive and is being protected in the center of a monastery. They say there is a place in the desert where the quail are tired from their long flight and drop exhausted out of the sky. Just as the Bible talks about.

They also say the Republican part stands for fiscal responsibility. Do you expect us to believe that too?

"They" would like it if you wouldn't put your stupid words in their mouths.

Ah, JohnR7, haven't heard his ramblings in awhile. Oh, this is an old one. I wonder, is that bush still burning? Do they poor kerosene on it to keep it going? And I doubt the whole quail story. You'd think after 3000 years they'd learn not to fly over that desert.

First: Comma's are your friends.
Second: Babylon existed but no one found the tower of Babylon, and I really doubt that it was higher than modern skyscrapers.

I didn't think quail were really the type of birds that flew long distances...I thought they sort of hopped around and maybe flew up into a tree to roost?

Edit: Ok apparently there are a couple of types of quail that are migratory, according to Wikipedia.

Sadly not so much remains of Bablyon any more, since Saddam built one of his execrably egotistic palaces there and then the US Army tarmaced several acres over to make a tank park.

Barbarians.
