I had an atheist over at my house once. To my shock and amazement, she didn't try to kill or rob me. I wondered why, as she CLEARLY didn't have the love of JAYZUS in her heart- so she would not have any moral guidelines like in THE GOOD BOOK that would prevent her from doing so.

'Cause when they age with morals they become far too bitter to be palatable.

"Answer : They want our children to age without morals."
Are we talking about biblical morals or Q'uran morals? Old testament or New testament? What about things that are not regulated by those books? Which sect of either of those religions?

I want them to have morals that do not include "Sacrifice your own family members without hesitation if God tells you."

Close. Very close. She only got one word wrong. Replace "morals" with "bullshit" and - voila!!

I don't really know; we had a state church here in Sweden up until just recently.
I was taught Christian Knowledge my first three years of school (the subject then changed to Religious Knowledge, and taught us about all the major religions in the world).
We sang a psalm every morning before school started, we celebrated every end of term in the local church.
But we're still considered one of the most secular countries in the world. Go figure...
Maybe the more you know, the better you can make an informed decision.

Nope, we want to be able to teach our kids morals without interference from retarded bigots.

No, we want them to age with law and order, and when they are old enough to decide on their own, they can choose whether to have a religion or not.
If only atheists wanted church and State separate, they would not be separate, as a majority in the US is religious.
