A lack of need for deprogramming, maybe?

They have knowledge of how the world works.
They don't have to cling to myths that make no rational sense upon more than just a curiosity glance.

Because it's a bit hard to deprogram when there's no programming there to deprogram... or, at least, when you get back to the hard-wired circuitry.

Waiting for God
No irrational beliefs in the supernatural that can be easily disproved by looking around at the natural world and realising the book you've been reading doesn't have a clue how things actually work.
It's along those lines.
Also, we tend and this is a generalisation, to respect evidence. Since the religious usually offer no evidence, that pretty much makes us immune to 'deprogramming'.

I thought you always tried to deprogram or "convert" atheists.

See, all atheists have these built-in virus protection systems called "Common Sense" and "Acknowledgment of Reality" that make us immune to attempts by things like the dreaded Fundie Virus to screw with our programming.

Why is it that you can deprogram a religious person but you can’t deprogram an atheist?
What is it that atheists have (or don’t have) that makes it impossible to deprogram them?
Religion

"What is it that atheists have (or don't have" that makes it impossible to deprogram them?"
What they have: reason
What they don't have: religion

They're not robots. They don't blindly follow religious teachings without THINKING about what it's teaching first. Maybe that's why. Just a wild guess.

Your use of the words "deprogram" and "religious person" in conjunction like that is extremely telling.
