Vaccinations are like chocolate: There can be too much of a good thing. Still doesn't mean you have an excuse to not get at least one vaccine for your kid. I'd rather take my chances with a mercury-free, dead virus injection than have my kid be patient zero.

I am so sorry for your son. It's people like you that sometimes make me wonder if we should create some sort of test in order to show that parents were capable of taking care of their children on the most basic level before allowing them to raise kids.

WRONG. This is very dangerous thinking. Everyone is endangered by people not vaccinating. The simple fact is that vaccination does not make you 100% immune from any disease, because diseases can mutate. As well as this, there are people who cannot be vaccinated for various reasons (too young, have other sicknesses, etc).
By creating an environment where diseases can grow and spread, everyone is put at risk of catching the disease, even vaccinated people! Vaccinations work because they create an environment where diseases cannot thrive, via herd immunity. It's a statistical effort, each person with a vaccination is less likely to catch a particular disease, and if you get enough of them together, the disease does not get a chance to spread. If the disease spreads, even the vaccinated are in trouble.
There is a tiny, tiny chance that the pathogens in the vaccine were not properly neutered, and that the vaccinated might catch the disease. I think you can probably count the number of cases on your fingers. Do not think that there are non-nutjob reasons for not vaccinating, there are none. Vaccines are much safer than the diseases they protect against, this is simple!

You have no knowledge of medicine history, do you? Only the ones who survived the lethal disesases gained antibodies. Vaccines is either weakened or killed pathogens to tweak the immune system with very little risk of actually getting sick. In order for vaccines to work, most people must use them, or you still get lethal epidemics.
Before vaccines, many kids died of Measles and other diseases we know see as fairly mild.
AIDS is not a result of Polio vaccines, stupid. It might be humans eating ape brain, or humans having sex with apes.
