How? If "everybody else's kids" are properly vaccinated, and the vaccines work so well, how does an unvaccinated child, or even a bunch of them, constitute a danger to anyone else? Seems like the only danger would be to the unvaccinated.

This person sounds like a nutcase, but I also chose not to vaccinate my children after some careful research. There are a lot of blithering idiotic foaming-at-the-mouth types out there who oppose vaccines, but there are a lot of intelligent, thoughtful well-educated people who also oppose them.

And my children--mostly grown up now--are very healthy and always have been. They have never had any of the so-called "childhood diseases."

It's true that vaccinations are overused and should be spread out more. It's not healthy to give a kid three shots at once. And things like vaccines against flu or chicken pox are a little ridiculous, because it actually builds up your immune system to fight off things like flu. But refusing to vaccinate your kids at all is just stupid.

The only reason you have the luxury to do this is because you know that almost everyone your kid comes in contact with is vaccinated. Your child will be protected by herd immunity. Back when children were dying of polio and measles, parents were desperate for vaccinations. The reason you say God created a wonderful immune system is because you, too, are protected by herd immunity. The pathogens aren't transmitted to you, so you're safe and you blindly believe it's because of your immune system. Visit some parts of Africa or South America someday and watch kids dying right and left, their bodies riddled with sores. Are you still so proud of your immune system?

From most rational people's points of view, your argument is ludicrous. It revolves around the misconception that it's safer to expose your child to LIVE pathogens naturally than it is to expose them to dead or inactive ones through vaccination.

You clearly use the term "warped experiments" as emotive language- a pitiful attempt to sway others to share your viewpoint. The vaccines given to children are not experimental- they have been tested already, and deemed safe.

Personally, I think that the argument against same-sex couples adopting is ridiculous when somebody like you can look after them without any kind of assessment.

Congratulations. You make your religion seem even more hideous than it needs to be.

My aunt had polio. My grandmother had diptheria. My sister and I didn't have to worry about either of them, but we did get chicken pox (now a vaccine for, too) and flu once or twice. Now, thanks to more and more patents like this ignorant asshole, childhood diseases like measles are coming back. Can we just quarantine all fundie families on an island somewhere, like they used to do with tuberculosis patients?

Did you know that the connexion AIDS-polio vaccine is an urban legend spread by a fundamentalist muslim cleric and is FALSE?. To begin with, the virus wouldn't have survived long outside the human body. Therefore, the spread of AIDS wouldn't be so spectacular that way, specially if(and it happens very often)high temperatures combine. "Child Endearment'? If a childs immune system just needs to be "tuned up" then please explain to me why children get sick and die form diseases such as measles and polio? Vaccination is how you "tune up" a childs immune system, by exposing them to a non-infectious form of a virus in order to create antibodies so the child can succesfully fight off the virus later in life.

Really now? Then why don't we see doctors, politicians, and others who actually do play 'god" getting struck down left & right? What proof do you have that AIDS is related to a polio vaccine? None? I once lived for 6 months in Khartoum, and had to take plaquenil pills every week to prevent malaria. The high dosage gave me 36-hour insomnia, but I figured it was worth it. One of the Marines didn't agree, didn't take his pills, and came down with--surprise!--galloping malaria. The only reason the Sergeant didn't strangle him to death was that he got medevaced to Germany (once his fever came down from 105 to 102.)

Preventing disease is a GOOD THING. Why is this simple concept so hard to grasp? That Marine was only gambling with his life, but these parents are endangering their children!

And if you actually did research you moron you would know what this theory actually states. Some people THINK (note the emphasis) that the HIV virus was a result from botched Polio vaccines because of the way the Polio vaccine is grown and the lack of technology. Polio vaccines are grown on Monkey Kidneys and in the 50's we didn't have the technology to screen for the supposed HIV causing viruses. So no, the Polio vaccine didn't cause HIV, contamination that we couldn't test for did. Idiot.
