Because evolution doesn't require faith, doesn't have prophets (Lamarck got it wrong BTW), doesn't have a "Bible" since The Origin of Species is pretty outdated, doesn't have a congregation or a church, doesn't have a crusade since science is not democratic, doesn't have Jihad since only assholes like Richard Dawkins want to eradicate theistic religions, and in fact doesn't really care about religion one bit since it's not judged by the same standards as religion.

5 Museums & academia aren't churches, nor is the dominance of science over bronze age myth a crusade or jihad.

Why do people say Rugby Union isn't a religion? It has a creator God (William Webb Ellis), Prophets (Peter Fitzsimons) a bible (John Eales' biography) and many cathedrals (Twickenham, Stadium Australia, Lansdowne Road, Ellis Park etc), it has a crusade (dominance of oval ball games) and a Jihad (eradication of rugby League). And it has the same arguements of superiority of one game over another

It has teams (the flock), a coach (the priest), game rules (the Bible), practice sessions (sermons), matches (Holy wars), uniforms, star players (saints), team symbols (the cross, the fish, church symbols, etc.), and a Sports Association (the Vatican).
