Of my own free will, I choose to not rape a woman/man/child/goat. Mainly because I wouldn't like it if someone else raped me.
I choose to not take things I haven't paid for from a shop; nor other peoples' property. Mainly because I'd be arrested & put in prison/wouldn't want anyone else taking my property.
I choose to not smoke myself into an early grave, mainly because I don't fancy dying of lung cancer/related life-shortening diseases.
I choose to not become a walking distillery, mainly due to watching - in my youth - a relative die of complete circulatory collapse as a result of extreme alcohol poisoning; it's not a pretty sight, trust me, and that experience served as the perfect pre-emptive aversion therapy (thus I drink in moderation).
I choose to not become a walking pharmaceutical lab, taking any & all known (and unknown) hallucinogens; I like my brain, and how it works 'as is' (the phrase 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. It exists for a reason).
And I choose to not kill anyone, for two reasons: 1) I don't fancy the idea of losing my liberty for the rest of my life (when the alternative - not killing anyone - is infinitely more appealing; as in being free as a bird); and I wouldn't like it if anyone killed me. And 2):

Moral: Making choices. That's what being a 'Free Thinker' is all about. Thinking about the choices we make in life. Also, the repercussions such choices have on others. And that's the point. Of Morals.
Seems that wasn't on the minds of the above non-'Free Thinkers' when, despite being 'followers of Christ', that didn't stop them from doing what they wanted anyway (Fraud/Theft, Adultery, Hypocrisy/homosexual acts/Adultery, Paedophilia, Terrorism, Murder respectively).
