By living, do you mean breath of life? Honestly, I'm pretty sure the bible does describe plants as living. In one case Jesus killed a fig tree -can't kill something that isn't alive.

I usurped god.

Plants are capable of reproduction, with is the fundamental characteristic of life. They also have all of the other characteristics of life. Thus, they are very much alive.

Consciousness does not define life. If it did, then many of the lower animals, including insects, reptiles, amphibians, etc. wouldn't be 'alive'.

You can object all you want, but plants are alive. Neither you nor the bible can disprove that.
