We won't want any non-believer or sin in His presence or ours, even if that includes our own family ( I feel like crying as I write this).
The voice of reason is strong with you, young fundie.
But you are not an intellectual yet.

Sick and sad.
I swear there has to be a way to make money off this rediculous belief. I want to see Rapture Insurance. Anyone want to be my partner?

Yet again, you don't even see WHY Jesus would be a total cunt if that were true.

This could've been an actual human being, with feelings and all, if he hadn't been indoctrinated. Sad.

I'd rather be in Hell with my loved ones than in that kind of a "Heaven."

I usurped god.
You love your imaginary friend more than your real family... how pathetic.

"But, He'll give us the grace, peace and security in knowing He was and is loving and just!"
So, he'll be able to accomplish the brainwashing more quickly and directly?
Which, of course, begs the question: why isn't he powerful enough to manage it now? Isn't he supposed to be omnipotent?

Waiting for God
Don't love anyone on Earth, shun all human contact, you cannot know whether a person is "saved" or not now can you? You cannot know if associating with someone will bar your entry into heaven, so wait until you die and when you see Jesus ask him who you should've been friends with and wait for them to die and go to heaven.
Then you can introduce yourself and form a grand new friendship in cloud cuckoo land.
What happens if you repent the sins you've committed in Jesus's name when you're in heaven, does God throw you out?

Desperately trying to cling to his delusion while reality becomes harder and harder to deny. The god he worships is an evil asshole, and he knows it, and it terrifies him. I feel a lot of sympathy for this guy.

I'd rather have The Bible in front of me,
Than have to have a frontal lobotomy...
Heaven is like an icepick to the prefrontal cortex.

An example of stockholm syndrome in its finest. This is what happens when you let imaginary entities like demons and gods (really the same thing) gain complete control over your thinking processes. Jesus himself supposedly said that you had to hate your family in order to truly love him. Look in your history books, this is the exact same method that evil dictators and fanatical cult leaders used to acquire people that would be completely loyal to them. It involves charisma, friendliness, and paternalism combined with terrible threats of destruction and death to confuse the minds of the weak.

You. Cannot. Be loving. And torture. Someone. For eternity. Period. Full stop. There is nothing, I repeat, NOTHING we can do here on earth that would warrant that.

Be careful what you wish for--what if the "unsaved" are really saints who come about to help you learn to be caring, compassionate, and loving towards your fellow humans. And you don't pick up on the lesson. H'mmmmm

This reminds me of a Chick Tract where some chick said she loves Jesus more than her own child.
Only this is worse because it involves a real person.

this thread starts off with fundies whittering about the age of accountability.
According to some brands of fundies ALL are guilty and thus ALL are damned unless they accept Jesus as their personal master.
But of course the RR bunch don't want to look this truth face on, though they're perfectly happy to allow everyone else to burn

You ought to be ashamed of yourself. These are the words of a coward with nothing to live for but death and evangelism.
What a miserable excuse for a human being.

It's not like this person enjoy the concept of Hell. Can't say he's a fundie. It be different if he says that he will enjoy seeing people burn for eternity.

See... this was the contradiction that started me down the path towards atheism. If they're not saved, and they're dead, then how can it really be "heaven"? Can you really enjoy eternity knowing that your child is being tormented, knowing that your spouse or your parents are being burned alive and suffering? And if Jesus can just swoop in and replace that love, what's the use in even having it? Why do we love at all, if it means absolutely nothing?
You've got a strong voice of reason. Just think. Look a little harder at the contradictions. Eventually, you'll see them, and you too will realize the foolishness - and how much it damages your relationships.

I bet I'm better at the "love thine enemy as yourself" than you are. I can't think of a single human being that I seriously hate, with all of my heart.
I also try, at every junction, to treat others as I want to be treated. If Jesus does exist, and is true to his word, I'm the one going on to heaven, and you are going to a much hotter place.
Jesus did not, to my knowledge, say "love me more than your neighbors".
