Its interesting to note that many of your Viking ancestors staunchly rejected Christianity and were put to death for continuing to honor the Aesir. It's also interesting to consider that many of the Vikings who did convert acknowledged the existence of the old Gods. Even Snorri Sturrulson claimed that all of the Aesir, except for Freyja, had died after the conversion.
ALso, since when is bugs having four legs logical?

Translation: Tried to be an atheist, but my brain hurt. Looked at some stuff about different religions, but they were like weird and foreign. Then I met some Christians who told me I didn't need to think, which was great cos I wasn't really sure how to do it anyway.

The Duelist
The Viking religion is infinitely more logical, humorous, and internally consistent than the Christian Zombie cult. In short, it's completely superior. Also, that bullshit stat about probability in nothing more than a lie concocted by Intelligent Design spin doctors. Our universe is INFINITE. There could be thousands of planets in this galaxy where life evolved by chance without a Creator. Furthermore, I bet if I asked you to provide the historical, logical, and archaeological proof for your cult, you would be incapable of doing so. This is all Christians are capable of; telling us over and over how history and archaeology prove their religion, without ever giving us the specific proof they claim to have.
1288816's translation was correct, I'm afraid.

Afterlife at Valhalla: Battling all day, feasting and drinking much mead all night and then start all over again.
The pig Saerimner is slaughtered each evening, barbecued and eaten during the feast. Each morning he is alive again.
Who'd rather sit on a cloud playing harp all day and night? Show of hands...
Btw; aesir=/=atheist.

"{Krishna turns 1000 women into sacred cows doesn't seem logical}"
Making water come out of a rock seem logical to you? Stopping the sun? Global flood? Aaron's rod changing into a serpent, manna sent daily except on the Sabbath, ad infinitum? At least hindus have the grace to acknowledge that their stories are metaphors. You should know that if you've really studied Hinduism.

Also, on behalf of your (and my) Viking ancestors:
Remember King Olav II. the Holy? Remember how he turned to Christianity, then tried to fuck over all of Norway and as a consequence got pwned by his own peasants?
Also, Odin is quite an asshole at times, but at least he admits it and doesn't pretend to be the good guy. Also, the fact that the old pagan religions had quite a few figures that were neither completely good nor completely bad (Odin, Loki, Prometheus...) and Christianity replaced them with black-and-white bullshit speaks volumes.

"I was an atheist but God does exist and I believe what is true."
Jonathan Edwards:

Was a Christian for a
long time. But he then realised that a 'God'
doesn't exist, and he no longer relies on what is 'true'; not even a 'belief'.
I love the smell of annihilated arguments in the morning. Smells like... victory.

Don't even pretend you found more evidence or logic in religion than science or literature . Or science-fiction for that matter. Or fantasy literature.

Huh! Big deal. It's easy believing in God when you've got proof. But try believing in God on faith alone.
Unimpressed. Another faithless big head who only believes because he's got proof. You think yourself superior to those of simple faith and to those without any faith at all just because you are privy to certain knowledge. Well how about sharing it for the sake of we unbelievers. Although, those of simple faith might not thank you for any revelations because the knowledge would take away that simple faith,

"I was an atheist but God does exist and I believe what is true."
Liar. Proof?:
"While I was an atheist I studied evolution and the probability of life occurring by accident is so close to zero that Hinduism is more logical than Darwinian Evolution."
Atheists consider all religions to be fairytales. And there is too much evidence for life occurring by chance, for any other possible explanation to suggest otherwise.
"I have studied MANY different religions; even practiced some. Christianity has logical proof {Krishna turns 1000 women into sacred cows doesn't seem logical} Historical proof, and archaeological proof. That's why I am a Christian."

Why were you an atheist? What made you chose that path?
Our Viking ancestors couldn't explain everything, where we go after we die for example. So they invented a religion in an effort to explain what could not be explained.
I studied evolution as a part of Biology while I was a Christian, as it was part of the syllabus in school. It wasn't until I found this site that I realized that some people refuse to believe these facts. Evolution had nothing to do with me becoming an atheist. As I said Biology was just as controversial as Geography or Physics in my education.
I also studied many religions in school, and the more I learned, the more similar they all seemed. Christianity made less sense, the more I knew about it, until one day I simply couldn't see any sense at all in it. Physics probably had more to do with me becoming an atheist, than Biology.

A woman into a pillar of salt Yes.
1000 women into 1000 cows No
There are more similarities between a woman and a cow than a woman and a block of salt.
You reject your Viking God Odin then ? thats bold of you.
