I absolutely love the phrase \"fleshly lusts,\" and am hoping to incorporate it into my daily speech.

\"We can be weak and not have the ability to resist our fleshly lusts.\"
You are the one who thinks that lust is a sin. If you believe that the feelings you get in your mind and penis are the result of the devil, then you have to suffer with the contridictions this information gives you in your own mind. Stop listening to someone that tells you that all of the natural things taht happen to your body are a sin and something to be ashamed of.
\"All of this we can do without a loving being breathing down our necks warning us of the danger we are in. And on top of all that fun, we get to go to hell!\"
The fact that a 'loving god' would create us to send us to hell sheds some light on why he thinks the body is evil and disgusting.
You buy into this, then call atheist's impaired and pathetic. Wow. You seem to have no sense of irony at all. Someone who doesn't have to follow to a 't' the archaic laws of a way outdated text is weak? I don't need that crutch. Are you sure you know what these terms mean?

<<< We can be weak and not have the ability to resist our fleshly lusts. >>>
Heaven forbid we should actually enjoy this life.
<<< All of this we can do without a loving being breathing down our necks warning us of the danger we are in. >>>
Some loving being your God is, if he sends people to hell for silly things like not worshipping him.
<<< And on top of all that fun, we get to go to hell! >>>
Atheists don't believe in hell, so why the fuck would any atheist say that?

"...warning us of the danger we are in."
That, according to your own beliefs, he caused, and can end with one word.

Notice how this entire statement is completely true if you reverse it?

Yeah, that's it, I'm an atheist for the ability to indulge in lusts.
Fuck off, Ham-eater. I'll see you in Tartarus.

Wait, so you actually think that atheists don't believe in god because we want to go to your magical fire-prison?
On that note, you actually think we believe in your magical fire-prison?
and you're calling us common sense impaired?

You want common sense? OK, here goes: there is no hell, there is no heaven, and fleshly lusts are part of being human. Deal with it.

I like my fleshly lusts. It makes the whole 'go forth and propagate' bit slightly more feasible. I like that my morality is not based on a supposed list of things not to do for fear of torture but on my own beliefs, which contrary to popular Christian opinion doesn't automatically make me a nihilistic monster in contempt of everything they see as good and embracing of destructive habits. I'd like to meet whoever it was that died, went to hell for all eternity, then came back when eternity was up and told everyone all about how much it sucked. I bet he's got some wild stories. I like that I can read about Adam and Eve and their two sons from whom all men descend and find a glaring plot hole in the telling of that story. The plothole being where the hell did they get their wives and children when God left reproduction in our hands? Small ass gene pool. Common sense is such a subjective thing now isn't it? Your common sense tells you that human beings are so badly inbred that it makes sense for their continued reproduction through fleshly lusts to be a sin. My common sense tells me a book is a book, some of which have useful lessons. Others, not so much.
