micro-evolution is a concept created by idiots to try to pretend evolution doesn't exist when the evidence is so overwhelming that it can no longer be denied. Aside from that we have loads of evidence indicating the Earth, and Hell even human civilization is much older than 6,000 years.

Show me what barriers prevent DNA of one species from gradually changing to resemble the DNA of another species?
If your problem is a specific trait, there is a mutation for that. If it is quantity of genetic code, well...polyploidy and polysomy away! Really...the reason why macro evolution is so feasible is because there is no feasible reason why DNA of one species could not grow to resemble that of different species, given entirely natural processes and a massive time scale. Of course, that fact is only the tip of the iceberg, but it is underlying idea that supports it.
