Pretty sure Snopes debunked the missing-day thing

Chances are the craft could have landed in an old crater. where the dust would be thicker.
A precautionary measure.

Check out snopes on the missing day and talk origins on the dust. These are old claims, long since discounted.

First error: When it comes to dating stuff, they can't narrow it down it the DAY. Only in terms of years (when the stuff is old enough).
Second error: Whatever education that Spartanfe2 received.

Oh I get it; dust only falls on the moon in the daytime. If it wasn't for the fact that we have night here - there would be twice as much dust, and those round feet thingies would have worked so much better. Thanks to that great bastion of science and knowledge, the bible, I will now go believe in jesus.

O... K... the people at NASA are able to measure one day's worth of dust missing? That made the original claim about one day missing from 6000 years of celestial movements look valid.

> the billions of years of moon dust they figured would be on the moon because of the billions of years that supposedly happened because of evolution
So changes in biological life cause the universe to age? Amazing. I never realised that before. Thank you for enlightening me.

Complete bullshit except for:
the Bible will never be debunked,
Because how do you prove a negative?

Logic fail. Astronomy fail. Engineering(sp.?) fail. Mechanics fail. Lying, there's better ways to do it, and less conspicuous ways. And there is no missing day. This looks something like what my dog leaves in the backyard, all brown, in little piles, steaming, and smelling horrible. What is that stuff called again? Oh, yeah. It's SHIT.

. However, when the ship landed, only about six inches of moon dust was present on the surface, not 6-12 feet or more that they were expecting.
The old estimates of dust accumulation were wrong.
Even using their own data, they figured the amount present could have only been about 6000years worth of moon dust, but out of those 6000 or so years, one day was missing
Bullshit.
A Christian working at NASA remembered something he had read in his Bible earlier that week. The passage being referred to talks about a battle that the Israelites were going into, and God told Joshua, the Israelite's leader at the time, that as long as it was sunlight, He would give them power to win the battle. So Joshua asked God to hold the sun in the sky, and God agreed. God held the sun in the sky long enough for the Israelites to win, which was the span of one extra day.
This is from a book entitled "How to Live Like a King's Kid," by Harold Camping.
But don't take my word for it.
Snopes says it's also bullshit, too.

@Darwin
the Bible is debunked. comprehensively. Vasts amounts of physical evidence shows it is not literally true. This is not proving a negative (though these can be at times), but disproving a positive.

Harry Potter will never be debunked either, because no-one bothers to debunk fairy-tale stories.
Dust must come from somewhere; if it can land on the moon, can't it also leave the moon?
How the HECK do you measure one day's worth of dust over 6000 years to be missing? Isn't that like one nano-part of a nano-millimeter.
How did they calculate it to be 60000 years' worth of dust, by the way?

The bible will never be debunked because there's one day's worth of dust missing from the moon after god held up the sun to let the Israelites win a battle.......?
No, who could ever debunk that. In the world of talking snakes, that makes perfect sense.

*but out of those 6000 OR SO years, one day was missing*
They can tell one day is missing from an approximate number of years?
