Actually Islam is, along with Christianity and Judaism, one of the Abrahamic religions. They aren't pagans.

you wontfind a single verse where God or Christ instruct you to bow to a stone
You might occasionally see them telling you to dash your enemies' babies' heads against stone, but that's ok. Just don't pray to it.
4/3/2008 10:09:08 PM
Sigh, someone should really read about other religions
4/3/2008 10:12:19 PM
Then why do all you fundie dumbasses worship fucking monuments of the ten commandments?
4/3/2008 10:13:09 PM
Pagan is just another buzzword for these people.
4/3/2008 10:15:47 PM
Or an effigy of Jesus. Or a water stain that looks (arguably) like a significant biblical figure, usually Mary or Jesus.
4/3/2008 10:22:03 PM
How is Islam more "pagan" than a religion that prays to an image of someone being executed?
4/3/2008 10:25:12 PM
"Pagan is just another buzzword for these people."
- that they don't understand
4/3/2008 10:25:47 PM
Meanwhile, you're hanging depictions of a corpse on a stick in your homes. Is that any less fucked up?
4/3/2008 10:25:56 PM
I thought you were supposed to bow to two pieces of wood with a corpse stapled to it.
4/3/2008 10:34:11 PM
Um...they have the Quo ran.
4/3/2008 10:34:47 PM
"Christians Dd you know that Muslims pray to a stone, 5 times a day. They are true Pagans?"
They're not worshiping the stone you moron. They no more worship the stone than the Jews worship the Wailing Wall.
"one is to pilgrimage"
"during the pilgrimage they say you are to kiss and rub the stone"
Not that I'm aware of. They are supposed to walk around it counter-clockwise seven times though.
You're essentially worshiping the Sun. I don't think you have any room to talk.
"you wontfind a single verse where God or Christ instruct you to bow to a stone"
True. So what? At least the a stone can be shown to exist which puts it quite a bit higher on my list of things to be worshiped than your god.
4/3/2008 10:56:12 PM
Actually, Islam is fiercely monotheistic. Even more so than your Christianity, actually, as it lacks the trinity and the "Queen of Heaven". You fail.
Do you even know what paganism is? Of course you don't. You can't even get the term for what you're accusing them of being correct. You think they're practicing idolatry, which would also be incorrect. So...
4/3/2008 11:01:42 PM
No, not bow to stone... but to a shrub on fire, yes. And let's not forget about the Jewish guy the Romans nailed to a cross to die. You bow to that.
4/3/2008 11:03:43 PM
I also agree with approximate ;P
4/3/2008 11:06:56 PM
Their goofy symbols and irrational practices are silly. Our goofy symbols and irrational practices are divinely inspired.
4/3/2008 11:17:19 PM
Except that they aren't Pagan, they are Abrahamic, and even in the Qu'aran it says to be wary of Pagans. But unlike your Bible, it does say to forgive those who repent, and a Muslim can be friends with someone of differring faith.
4/3/2008 11:24:05 PM
Says the worshipper of a dying and resurrecting god who had a virgin mother...
4/3/2008 11:43:34 PM
Didn't Jesus say to Peter: "upon this rock will I build my church"?
And what were the tablets bearing the 10 commandments made of?
4/3/2008 11:52:04 PM
A stone, a lower-case "t"...seems the same to me. The only thing I bow to is my God of Porcelain, occasionally.
4/3/2008 11:52:56 PM
Wait I thought the Blarney Stone was Irish .... the Islamic people are from Ireland?
4/4/2008 12:01:19 AM
Hey King Crusader, did you know that ALL of the Christian holidays were placed smack-dab on Pagan holidays (mostly solstices and equinoxes) to convert the so-called heathens to Christianity? Here's an abbreviated list.
Candlemas: Imbolg (Feb. 2)
Easter: Ostara (Spring Equinox)
Christmas: Yule (Winter Solstice)
See a trend? The rest of your holidays are the same. Who's pagan now?

The Muslims pray to Allah (God), and there is no wiggle room there. one of the Pillars of Faith is to take the Profession of Faith: "There is only one God, and Mohammed is his Prophet." The stone is the Ka'aba, in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, which all face 5 times a day when they pray to God. Some secular writings say the Ka'aba is a meteorite. Another stone involved in Haj is a pillar representing the devil, which they stone to show their rejection of Satan.

If you actually read more about the Hajj pilgrimage, you'll see that some of their customs (i.e. sacrificing an animal in honor of Abraham) is in YOUR bible.
And either way, you bow to a dead guy and ask him to kill everyone.
