Oh Fundies are going to shit themselves when they find out there's life on other planets. I hope I'm alive when that happens.

It's just because scientists are confident if the conditions are right, there WILL be life. I agree.
Besides, a mind (espesially a good one) is a terrible thing to waste. Genius needs to seek answers, lucky for the rest of us.

So wait...you're a Scientologist?

Is he talking about the Elvis "Face on Mars" that supposedly "proves" the existence of life there? That's been debunked. It's just a hill, and a DEM (Digital Elevation Model) shows it to be a mesa, with some features that show a face when the light and shaded areas are just right.

What would you idiots do with billions of dollars, except embezzle most of it and funnel the rest into building fancier churches than your rival denominations and bullshit creation museums?
And, of course, do your damndest to avoid paying tax on any of it!

They want to be cosmic crowd control... "Nothing to see here, move along, don't you have somewhere to be, curiosity killed the cat..."
I hate people like that. So do scientists.

According to statistical analysis( there's an equation-forget the name) there are most likely at least 20 planets in our galaxy that have intelligent life(let alone basic life forms). Imagine how many there are with the billions of galaxies out there. Our planet cannot be the only one.

> According to statistical analysis( there's an equation-forget the name)
The Drake Equation. It's not actually that impressive. It's also 50 years out of date.
> Evolutionists have speculated that this hole or cavern “might be the sort of place that could support life.”
You undermine your own dismal attempt at an argument by conflating a place which might be able to support life with evolution. Couldn't your god have once magicked some Martian lifeforms up and they found a place where they could survive until today? Do you truly not have that much faith in your ultimate Extraterrestrial?

Billions of dollars will be spent on what will be a fruitless search for extraterrestrial life
Unfortunately for humanity, the already meagre budget for space exploration was cut over and over again the last years.
But it is still a much better investment than to waste trillions of dollars on crusade wars intended to steal other nations resources or putting it directly into the pockets of greedy bankers.
Imagine where we could stand now would this money have been spent wisely and not so foolishly like it was the last decade.

Better spend billions of dollars on finding life on other planets, than on killing life on this planet.
