As a Christian and a Young-Earth Creationist, I don't have to believe that Muslims or Wiccans are lying when they say they saw a miracle. I can believe, and I do believe, that they very well may have seen a miracle; but I would consider it a counterfeit miracle of Satan.
How would I know whether a miracle is of Satan or of God? It depends on the context. If the miracle causes people to realize that God is great and wonderful, and to put their trust in Him, it was very likely from God. If the miracle encourages people to think something other than God is great, and to trust in that other instead, it's a counterfeit miracle of Satan.

I love how you could use "Satan", "The Illuminati", and "the ZOG" interchangably, and your quote would go in a different section of the website depending on which one you used.
But what about differing opinions? Hmmmmm? Hurricane Katrina reacquainted many people with their faith, but turned many others from theirs'. Also, you seem awfully cocksure that you know what's the will of God and what's the will of Satan? If Satan truly is the lord of Lies, how do you know you're not being deceived? How do you know that reassuring voice in your ear isn't really Satan? Hmmm?
"How would I know whether a miracle is of Satan or of God?"
First you must ask, is it a miracle or is it a con artist trying to fool gullible fundies?
So now Satan creates miracles?
Where did you find all this claptrap in your bible? I want citations, book, chapter and verse, proving this is biblical.
Otherwise you are lying and you can't get to your heaven that way.
Dontcha just love it how these guys repeatedly violate their own rules and regulations and still think their god is going to let them into the heaven reserved for the righteous? Wouldn't it be great if Hell were real...how surprised would they be to find themselves slowing roasting over an open flame instead of sitting on a cloud wearing a crown?
As far as devout Muslims are concerned, you're the one deluding yourself.
Since miracles don't happen in the real world, I figure you're both deluding yourselves.
Besides, I love the way you call Satan the author of all this confusion. Your god is complicit in Satan's actions throughout most of the Bible.
So, that's why god hasn't performed miracles for over 2000 years, because he only performs them for his own benefit and not the benefit of those on earth who he supposedly created?
I also didn't know satan had the power to create miracles. He is, after all, merely a fallen angel. I thought god controlled miracles? Did he give up power to satan or did satan steal it or what?
Zuni,
My mother, a good woman, and religious, always used to say that the devil can use the Bible and miracles for his own purposes...
I take you a step further - he could even have written it. Especially the KJV. King James was very interested in demonology. So beware. You never know. It could all be one big Satanic hoax! Hence the lies, murders and contradictions in your Bible! Think on it!
What if Satan is the one true God, and he tries to fool people into thinking that God exists so he knows who to torture the most in the afterlife for a good laugh? What if the real miracles are the ones that lead to other religions, but the ones that strengthen your faith are only tricks, meant to keep you within the confines of the Church, so that your eternal humiliation for defying Satan and being too naive will begin?
That's why I worship the FSM...he messes with people, but at least he isn't as sadistic as the characters in your mythology...
Need I point out that his name happens to be the same as a transitional fossil? Not that this has anything to do with his argument, it's just ironic that a YEC should base his username off of a transitional fossil.
Zuniceratops is the oldest known ceratopsian dinosaur from North America, and is the first to have well-developed horns over its eyes (even then, the horns are relatively small compared to later ceratopsians). It's also larger than more primitive horned dinosaurs, but smaller than more derived ones like Triceratops and Chasmosaurus.
But what about a "miracle" that brings some to your god but, say, makes others believe more in science?
It must be difficult for you to conceive of the notion that NOT all people think or interperet things the same way. What, with that herd mentality you fundies exhibit.
I'm sure that normal Muslims or Wiccans would claim they saw a miracle. They would be too ashamed to do such a thing. As for the doublethink in the post: Freedom is Slavery, War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength. God is Flying Spaghettie Monster.
Or perhaps Muslims are right, and you're fooled by Satan. Ever think about that?
Oh, right. Young-earth creationist, ergo lack of thinking processes combined with complete inability to analyse your own position on anything. Never mind.
OMGSATAN!!
The problem is that if god created satan and is truly omniscient, then created satan to be satan. He oviously knew what satan would be, but created him anyway. This means that satan is a proxy of god. When you say "Satan did it" it's the same as "God created Satan to do it" which could be cut with this awesome razor I found and you would come up with "God did it."
And if you say god didn't do it, then you are either saying god isn't omnipotent or he isn't omniscient.
I have no real religion, but I'd have to say the religion I subscribe most closely to is Gnosticism, in that it's very logical in the way it treats our preconceived notion of what a "God" is like - a malevolent, or at least flawed deity would of course, if it wanted to be successful, would be great at deceiving people into worshiping it. How better to do this that masquerade as the One True God and set up a bunch of religions mutually antagonistic towards one another and keep people fighting with one another to prevent them from working out the truth?

"what makes this guy think he cant be fooled by the Prince of Lies?"
Because he's a Christian.
And according to the Left Behind movie, Kirk Cameron's Christianity enabled him to see through Nicholas Carpatheas's deceptions, revealing him to be the Antichrist.
Hey, wouldn't it be cool if Jesus' resurrection was one of these counterfeit miracles? I mean, that would be a great plot twist. They could reveal it right at the end of the movie and it would totally change the whole context!
You "don't have to believe" in Wiccan miracles. You don't even have to believe in christianity, and you most certainly do not have to believe that inanity known as young earth creationism, but hey, if you want to look really, really ignorant to the rest of the world, be my guest.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
